Thankfully, there is a way for gamers to get more inventory space in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This is a crucial upgrade, as it will greatly improve their quality-of-life in-game. The guide below tells players what they need to know to fully upgrade their pocket space in New Horizons.

Players will start off with 20 inventory slots when they begin their New Horizons journey. They can expand their inventory by 10 slots two times, which means they can have a maximum of 40 inventory slots in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

30 Inventory Slots

  • To get the first inventory upgrade, players must purchase the Pocket Organization Guide. It will become available at the Nook Stop inside Tom Nook’s tent after gamers pay their first loan of 5,000 Nook Miles.

Players can get the expansion by interacting with the Nook Stop terminal, selecting Redeem Nook Miles, and then buying the Pocket Organization Guide for 5,000 Nook Miles. Once the Pocket Organization Guide has been applied, gamers will have a total of 30 inventory slots.

This upgrade will become available once the Resident Services tent is turned into a proper building. This will make players’ lives a lot easier, as they will be able to store a maximum of 40 item stacks in their pockets.
