First Berserker: Khazan is celebrating its first anniversary by giving out free items to all players, as well as sharing some interesting statistics about how the community has been engaging with the game. A hardcore action RPG, The First Berserker: Khazan takes its cues from the likes of Dark Souls and pivots the formula into a slightly different, but familiar direction with finely tuned controls and a solid boss roster.
Though The First Berserker: Khazan missed its initial sales target, that hasn’t stopped developer Neople and publisher Nexon from supporting the game with patches and extra content, which resonated with the community. Set in the Dungeon & Fighter universe, which hasn’t received mainstream attention in the West, Khazan showed that the IP has legs in niches beyond that of pure fighting games. At the same time, its mission-based structure gave it some novelty beyond most other Soulslike offerings.
The First Berserker: Khazan – All Bosses List
Here’s a list of all main and side bosses players can face in The First Berserker: Khazan.
The First Berserker: Khazan Gives Players Free Anniversary Goodies
To mark The First Berserker: Khazan‘s one-year anniversary, developer Neople is giving out a set of unique armor and weapon cosmetics to all players, called the Immortal Fury gear set. This follows the trend set by June 2025’s Pathfinder Package DLC, which was distributed to players as a free bonus alongside new difficulty options for The First Berserker: Khazan. The new Immortal Fury armor set features two armor variants, the Greatsword of Chronicles, the Dual Wield of Immortal Adamantine, and the Sanguine Vanguard Spear.
Alongside new weapons and gear, Neople shared a host of anniversary statistics, showing off a full year’s worth of gameplay data and player habits. For example, players have died over 273,000,000 deaths since Khazan first came out. The deadliest boss by far is Viper, making a return from The First Berserker: Khazan‘s first round of infographics, with Pincer Spider being the single deadliest non-boss enemy in the game. Falling off cliffs has, in the meantime, accounted for over 20,000,000 deaths. The statistics breakdown also states that 40% of players completed the game with the “First Berserker” ending, stamina-boosting Endurance skill is the single most allocated stat upgrade, and someone has managed to clear Hardcore Difficulty in just 2 hours and 10 minutes total, to list a few more.
The First Berserker: Khazan Creative Director Junho Lee was very grateful for all the support and attention the game has received from players. “I poured my heart into making Khazan, telling myself that this would be the game I stake my entire career on… But then, so many of you showed up. You played the game, shared your honest thoughts, and cheered us on,” he said. While it might not have the remarkable depth of a modern FromSoftware Souls game, The First Berserker: Khazan offers gameplay depth and innovations where it made sense to deliver them, making it a standout release in this niche.
“Looking ahead,” said Neople, “the development team remains committed to enriching the experience for players, fueled by the passion and feedback of its global community.” The First Berserker: Khazan is now well polished and a complete experience, making it unlikely that the game will receive meaningful future content drops or updates, but a few more hotfixes may well be on the horizon. As for a potential sequel to this particular Dungeon & Fighter release, only time will tell whether Neople and Nexon may choose to pursue something like it.
