A creative LEGO fan is showing off a stunning build of iconic Super Mario antagonist Bowser striking a menacing pose. The LEGO Bowser was built completely from scratch, without using any guides or templates to create the king of the Koopas.

LEGO fans have been crafting amazing creations using the iconic toy building bricks since the product was first released in 1949. LEGO has become a massive global toy empire spanning every type of media, expanding from the original brick toys into movies, video games, and much more. The toy brand has also regularly welcomed collaborations with some of the biggest media properties in the world, creating LEGO sets based on popular video games, movies, and TV shows. Now, one fan has built their own LEGO tribute to the Super Mario franchise’s most recognizable villain.

LEGO Fan Shares Incredible Bowser Build

LEGO fan thelegoblacksmith showed off their impressive build of Bowser on the LEGO subreddit. The stunning statue featured the Mario antagonist in an intimidating pose, complete with adjustable limbs to change the scene. The LEGO Bowser kit was built from scratch as an MOC, or My Own Creation, cobbling together different pieces into the likeness of the classic Mario villain. The images of the Bowser build depicted a posable mouth for the LEGO statue, with the creator able to open and close Bowser’s mouth using adjustable bricks. One image of the LEGO creation even includes orange pieces inside Bowser’s mouth, likely used to represent breathing fire.

The stunning LEGO Bowser perfectly captures the ferocity of one of the Mario franchise’s biggest bosses. The Bowser build notably does not feature any pupils, due to the white bricks used for his eyes, giving the statue a more intense and angry appearance. The LEGO Bowser statue also uses sloped white pieces to represent his claws, even finding smaller slopes to account for the shorter claws on Bowser’s thumbs. The Reddit user did not reveal in the post how many bricks were used to complete the statue, nor how long it took to finish.

The impressive build of Bowser comes as the Mario franchise has already received multiple official LEGO sets. Mario and friends have received a wide range of LEGO sets, from statues of a Piranha Plant and Mario and Yoshi to an interactive LEGO Mario level with a special minifigure of Mario. Mario Kart has also seen several themed LEGO sets of different characters with their signature karts, including Toad, Shy Guy, King Boo, and other characters.

The collaboration between the Mario franchise and LEGO is primed for a busy 2026, with multiple sets released and on the way. Luigi was the star of the first Mario-themed LEGO set of the year, appearing in the Mach 8 vehicle from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Leaks have also suggested that a major Mario set will be releasing in August, potentially debuting a Super Mario-themed LEGO arcade machine set. Fans of Mario and LEGO should have no shortage of new sets to build in 2026, with the successful collaboration becoming even more expansive.
