LEGO has officially revealed the LEGO Architecture Sagrada Familia set, which is officially the biggest-ever set the company has ever released. The set, which will be released later this year, is composed of over 12,000 individual LEGO pieces, usurping the previous title holder – the World Map set.

It’s awesome to see the level of ambition found in many recent LEGO sets. The Sagrada Familia will be the second set from this year to break into the top 10 biggest LEGO sets of all time, following the Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise from February. That set had 6,838 pieces, which puts into perspective just how ambitious the Sagrada Familia set really is.

The LEGO Architecture Sagrada Familia becomes the first-ever set to feature over 12,000 pieces – 12,060 to be exact – becoming the biggest set LEGO has ever released in the process. It comes with a hefty price tag of $799.99, and can be pre-ordered right now with a release date of November 1. This makes it one of the most expensive LEGO sets of 2026 so far.

According to the initial announcement, the build commemorates the 100th anniversary of Antoni Gaudi’s death, the Catalan architect who designed the Sagrada Familia. This set has been “designed to reflect both the scale and spirit of Gaudi’s vision,” and offers “an immersive way to explore the architecture of one of the most complex and celebrated buildings ever conceived.” LEGO highlights the stained-glass window effect, which echoes how light moves through the interiors of the real basilica.

Previous rumors have acknowledged the existence of the LEGO Architecture Sagrada Familia, although those leaks indicated that the planned price tag was $600 – almost $200 off the correct number. However, the 12,060 pieces previously reported has proven to be correct in the final product. There was some suggestion that the set would be released as early as July 1, 2026, but it’s now clear that this is off by several months. With the official images now revealed, it’s clear that it’s one of the most ambitious and stunning LEGO sets to date.

There is plenty for LEGO fans to look forward to in the future, even beyond this latest Architecture set. A recent leak has suggested that LEGO Hello Kitty is on the way in early 2027, which would make for an excellent collaboration. It seems as though there’s always something cool on the horizon, which is exciting for LEGO fans everywhere.
