During the ongoing PokemonXP event, Pokemon teased multiple new LEGO sets slated to launch in 2027, showing silhouettes of several new LEGO Pokemon. LEGO debuted its first official Pokemon collaboration in early 2026 to massive fanfare, and released numerous sets throughout the year.
LEGO’s highly-anticipated collaboration with Pokemon has been one of the biggest events of the year for the toy line. The first LEGO Pokemon sets officially debuted in late February, releasing stunning statues depicting the final evolutions of the Kanto starters, alongside Pikachu and Eevee sets. LEGO has since followed up the initial sets with a multitude of different Pokemon products, ranging from stunning new statues to multiple toys in the Smart Play line, with interactive elements like lights, sounds, and even moving parts. Now, Pokemon is hinting at a plethora of new LEGO sets arriving in 2027.

The ongoing PokemonXP festivities included a major teaser about new Pokemon-themed LEGO sets releasing in 2027. A sizzle reel presented during a panel at PokemonXP showed silhouettes of five new creatures coming to the toy line, including recognizable Pokemon for Mankey, Pichu, and Wingull, among others. The teaser does not reveal whether the new Pokemon LEGO sets will be traditional statues, similar to the Kanto starters and Eevee sets, or if they will join a specialized line, similar to Pokemon‘s recent Smart Play LEGO sets. Each new set shown during the presentation was confirmed to launch in 2027, though firm release dates were not revealed.

The new Pokemon LEGO sets in 2027 will add to an already sizable lineup of toys included in the tie-in between the two massive brands. Pokemon‘s August release featured more than 10 new kits as part of the Smart Play line, featuring some of the most popular creatures from the franchise, including Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, and Charizard. Several “adult sets” were also released in the August batch, allowing buyers to build impressive statues of Munchlax, Rayquaza, and Arcanine. LEGO is even running a special collaboration with Pokemon GO through the end of September, with LEGO stores hosting special 1-star Pikachu raids.
LEGO’s collaboration with the monster-catching phenomenon is only set to grow larger as more Pokemon sets are rumored to be coming in 2027. Leaks have suggested that Scorbunny and its evolutions will be receiving their own LEGO set in the near future, debuting figures of Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace. Fans of Eevee are also set to get a special treat in the form of a new LEGO set based on the Pokemon and its multiple evolutions, specifically including Flareon and Vaporeon. Several sets featuring full buildings are also expected to launch in 2027, including a Stadium Bus with Larvitar and Croagunk and a Dojo House with Riolu.
The new LEGO teasers come as Pokemon continues to celebrate its 30th anniversary across the different branches of the franchise. The Pokemon TCG is gearing up to debut its special anniversary set in early September, with the launch of 30th Celebration bringing both a brand-new rarity and reprints of some of the game’s most iconic cards. The Pokemon Company also gave fans a look at the future of the series during the 2026 Pokemon Day presentation, showing the first trailer for Pokemon Winds and Waves, the tenth generation of Pokemon video games. Pokemon fans have been given plenty to be excited about throughout 2026, and the franchise looks primed to carry its momentum into 2027.
