A recent leak has just teased the existence of a brand-new LEGO set inspired by the 1984 cult classic Gremlins. According to this leak, this new LEGO Gremlins set will cost a surprisingly reasonable $25 and will launch on September 1.

Written by Chris Columbus, directed by Joe Dante, and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Gremlins is a 1984 comedy horror movie that sees a small town become infested with the eponymous killer creatures on Christmas Eve. Over the last four decades, Gremlins has become something of a cult classic, and every so often various companies attempt to capitalize on its continued popularity by producing a small wave of Gremlins-themed merchandise. This year, it’s LEGO’s turn.

On May 19, well-known LEGO leaker Brick Tap made a series of social media posts allegedly shedding light on a handful of yet-announced LEGO sets all due out later this year. One of these leaked LEGO sets was the 40919 Gremlins: Gizmo & Stripe set. According to Brick Tap’s anonymous source, this LEGO Gremlins set will launch on September 1 and will set fans back $25.

For a long while now, but especially in the last few years, LEGO has garnered a reputation for being quite costly. A $25 price tag, therefore, seems surprisingly reasonable, particularly for a set based on a relatively niche franchise. This price tag makes a lot more sense given that this leaked LEGO Gremlins set is allegedly part of LEGO’s BrickHeadz line, a wave that sees iconic characters get condensed down into small, deliberately exaggerated and blocky versions of themselves.

With a $25 price tag, fans can expect this LEGO Gremlins BrickHeadz set to contain around 250–300 pieces. The recently released LEGO Fortnite Supply Llama and Fishstick BrickHeadz set retails for $25 and features 300 pieces, while the upcoming LEGO Shrek, Donkey, and Gingy BrickHeadz set costs the same but comes with 259 pieces.

This won’t be the first Gremlins-themed set LEGO has released, however. Back in October 2025, LEGO released the Gizmo 21361 LEGO Ideas set. Retailing for $109.99, this LEGO Gremlins set contains 1125 pieces and features a posable version of the movie’s Mogwai protagonist that measures over 8 inches high and over 10 inches wide. Gizmo also comes with some brick-built 3D glasses as well as a little water splash piece that alludes to one iconic scene from the 1984 movie.

Other Leaked LEGO Sets Launching in September

Brick Tap’s May 19 LEGO leaks also included some Batman and Pokemon-related rumors. According to Brick Tap, September 1 will also see the release of a LEGO Batman Returns Batmobile set which is said to cost $220 and contain 2,272 pieces. Three LEGO Pokemon Smart Play sets were also leaked by Brick Tap, those being a Gengar and Cubone set, a Charmander and Geodude set, and a standalone Jigglypuff set. All of these sets will be compatible with LEGO’s new Smart Brick technology, though none of these three sets will reportedly include a Smart Brick itself.
