LEGO collectors who also happen to be huge sci-fi fans might want to keep an eye out for an official announcement, because a release date for the anticipated X-Files set has leaked. Leaks are far from actual confirmation, but if true, this would make it the first LEGO set based on the hit sci-fi series.
There have been a lot of LEGO leaks and announcements in the past few months. Between the new Lord of the Rings LEGO set based on Minas Tirith to more Pokemon kits, the news cycle has been quite busy for collectors. There are a lot of exciting sets coming in the future that are still in development, and many LEGO lovers are eager to find out when the toy company officially plans to release them. The X-Files set is one of the builds that has LEGO fans wondering about a launch date, and this leak could potentially hold the answers that so many collectors have been waiting for.
LEGO Leak Reveals Set Themed After Happiest Place on Earth
A LEGO leak claims that a brand-new build centered around one of Disney’s most iconic locations will be revealed next month.
New Leak Claims to Know the Price, Release Date, and Piece Count for LEGO’s X-Files Set
According to the leaks that are circulating around social media, the LEGO X-Files set could come out as soon as August 1. This leak also claims that the kit will have 1,478 pieces and potentially cost $200. Even though that’s not exactly a cheap price tag, the alleged cost keeps the X-Files build safe from being one of the most expensive LEGO set of 2026.

If the X-Files set really does include 1,478 pieces and costs around $200, that’s a pretty balanced price point. It would be much more manageable than the LEGO Minas Tirith set and the Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise display, which both cost $650. This LEGO display has been eagerly awaited for a while now, and it could prove to be one of the most exciting launches of the year. LEGO’s X-Files set features Scully and Mulder in their shared office that even includes a little “I Want to Believe” poster on the wall. Hovering above the alien-hunting duo is a giant UFO that beams down a gray alien minifigure standing within a treeline.
This upcoming LEGO set ties many of the show’s main themes and imagery together in one build, which is bound to make it an ideal collector’s item for die-hard X-Files fans. What’s even more exciting is that the leak also claims that this set could potentially even include a Gift With Purchase. The report doesn’t say exactly what the extra gift might be, but that will eventually be revealed in the coming announcement.

As compelling as this leak is, it’s important to take such claims with a grain of salt. All that’s known for certain is that an X-Files LEGO set is coming sometime in the future. There is always the chance that all the details in this leak turn out to be inaccurate. If the leaks are true, though, this set would be coming at a pretty good time. Ryan Coogler’s X-Files reboot is expected to debut on Hulu sometime next year, so this could help drum up extra hype for the new take on the series.
