Lies of P 2 is Officially in Full Development

In its most recent earnings call, publisher Neowiz confirmed that the sequel to Lies of P is now officially in full development, having passed its prototype stage. A sequel to Lies of P was first teased by Neowiz back in November 2023, when the first game’s director also showed off some concept art for the then-upcoming Lies of P story DLC.

Lies of P made a strong impression when it launched in September 2023. On OpenCritic, Lies of P is currently sitting at a Top Critic Average of 82 and a critic recommendation rate of 88%. GameRant’s own Dalton Cooper gave Lies of P an 8/10 at launch, stating that the game “can be extremely fun when the combat clicks,” but that it takes a bit of a time investment to reach that point. Lies of P‘s reputation has only grown since its 2023 launch, and many now consider it one of the best non-FromSoftware Soulslikes ever made, especially when its Overture DLC is taken into consideration as well.

On May 11, Lies of P publisher Neowiz released its Q1 2026 earnings report. This report makes several mentions of a “Lies of P sequel,” but by far the most important mention comes in the section titled “FY2026 Strategic Direction.” In the graphic included in this section, the Lies of P sequel can be found under the heading “IP Franchising,” where it’s confirmed that the long-awaited follow-up has passed its prototype stage and has “entered full-scale development stage.” This means that the Lies of P sequel is now officially in full development at Neowiz’s subsidiary studio Round8.

The only other piece of information given about the Lies of P sequel in this most recent Neowiz earnings report is that a vertical slice has been created internally. There’s no confirmation of any story or gameplay details at this time. For instance, it’s unclear if the Lies of P sequel will see Pinocchio take center stage once more, or whether it will explore a different literary classic, such as the one teased in Lies of P‘s post-credits scene.

Every Game Neowiz Has In Full Development

Elsewhere in the Neowiz Q1 2026 earnings report, four other projects are confirmed to be in full development. These in-development titles are simply referred to as “Project Rubicon,” “Project CF,” “Zakazane Studio New Project,” and “Wolfeye Studios New Project.” While there isn’t much information available for Neowiz’s Project Rubicon and Project CF, there are some light details available for Zakazane Studio and WolfEye Studio’s in-development projects.

Zakazane is a Polish studio founded in 2022 by former 11 Bit Studios and CD Projekt Red devs and its debut project will reportedly be a single-player RPG where players assume the role of a sheriff of a mining town. WolfEye, on the other hand, is a studio that was formed by ex-Arkane devs. Its debut title was Weird West, and its next project is said to be a first-person action RPG. While all of these projects have entered full development, no release windows have been confirmed just yet.
