NetEase Games has given players their first look at Season 6.5 of Marvel Rivals, which will add the Duelist Elsa Bloodstone to the popular hero shooter’s ever-expanding roster on February 13. Marvel Rivals added Deadpool to the game at the beginning of Season 6, a unique hero who has the ability to choose between the Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist roles. Currently, Deadpool is the only character with this level of versatility, making him a valuable addition to the title.
After the overwhelming success of Marvel Rivals‘ 18v18 Annihilation mode and its Marvel Zombies mode, NetEase Games stated that the hero shooter is just getting started. The developers teased new content coming in 2026, though they weren’t able to provide any specifics. However, it’s clear that the positive feedback surrounding Marvel Rivals‘ unique modes has influenced how the developers are looking to craft content in the future. The Marvel Zombies mode was so successful that the developers extended its window of availability several times, giving players ample opportunity to join in on the fresh horde mode experience. With Season 6.5 about to kick off, many fans are eager to see what the developers have planned for the game.
Marvel Rivals Developers Tease Major Plans for 2026, Say 2025 Was a ‘Warm-Up’
While a staggering amount of content came to Marvel Rivals in 2025, NetEase is promising that 2026 will be even bigger for its hero shooter.
Marvel Rivals Reveals Elsa Bloodstone, New Team-Ups, and More
NetEase Games has released Dev Vision Vol. 14, a video that goes over everything coming to the hero shooter in Season 6.5, including its latest hero. It has officially been confirmed that Elsa Bloodstone will be making her debut as one of Marvel Rivals‘ Duelists, meaning she’ll be focused on dishing out as much damage as possible on the battlefield. Elsa Bloodstone’s playstyle will task players with alternating between her weapons to keep the pressure on enemies, which will also help her reduce her cooldowns. She even has the ability to summon creatures, which is sure to create a bit of chaos in the heat of battle.
Elsa Bloodstone will also be part of a new team-up with Deadpool in Marvel Rivals, shifting how her Breathing Gun functions. When she hits another player with a Living Bullet, the enemy will suffer from impaired vision and hear Deadpool’s constant chatter while taking damage. Elsa Bloodstone can then recall these rounds of ammunition, which will reward her with healing based on how much damage was dealt. The Thing will also be joining the Gamma Charge team-up with Hulk and Black Panther, making his fists even more dangerous than before. Activating the team-up will boost the range and damage of Stone Haymaker and Rocky Jab, both of which will reward The Thing with bonus health on each hit.

Marvel Rivals‘ Doctor Strange will also be getting a whole new team-up with Invisible Woman called Psionic Mayhem. In this case, Invisible Woman will be the anchor. When the team-up is activated, Doctor Strange’s Maelstrom of Madness will transform into Psionic Vortex, allowing the Vanguard to pull enemies toward him while receiving healing based on how much damage was dealt. It’s worth noting that the healing will also be applied to any other allies who are nearby.
It seems as if players can also look forward to some new events coming to Times Square, as the social hub will be used to celebrate the love of Gambit and Rogue in Marvel Rivals on February 14. The event will feature a wedding car parade, and gamers will be able to earn free Units for attending. Later in the season, Lin Lie will perform a lion dance in Times Square as part of a Lunar Festival celebration. Players who log in to watch the performance will be rewarded with Unit red envelopes. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
