From the moment 4-year-old Cameron first stepped out into Glimmer in Spyro 2, he knew video games were going to play a central role in the rest of his life. Though he never planned to make it the focal point of his career, Cameron spent the vast majority of his spare time growing up playing games, and following graduation from the University of Reading, he thought he’d try his hand at writing a few reviews. Six years later, Cameron has reviewed countless games, written thousands of news and feature pieces, and interviewed a wide range of developers for GameRant.
According to a recent statement from an Arkane Lyon union representative, Marvel’s Blade is nearing the end of its production, but it might never make its way into players’ hands. Following Xbox’s decision to sell off Arkane Lyon in July, the Marvel’s Blade developer now only has until November 13 to find a financial partner.
Marvel’s Blade Studio Could Face Closure Next Month
A new report from French outlet Le Monde provides some new insight into Arkane Lyons’ current situation, courtesy of a union representative working with the studio to find a new buyer. According to Le Monde, the consultation period for Arkane will officially end on November 13. If a buyer for the studio hasn’t been found, a total of 217 employees could be at risk of losing their jobs, and the studio could face complete closure. Additionally, this would likely mean the cancelation of Marvel’s Blade, a project that the union representative said “is nearing the end” of production.
