The previously rumored Marvel’s Venom from Insomniac Games is still in development, according to a new leak. Work on a Venom game as a spin-off from Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man series was originally leaked as part of the massive data breach the developer suffered back in 2023. However, since then, rumors suggested that it may have been canceled, but now the game apparently still lives on and is in active development.
Marvel’s Venom Reportedly Still in Development at Insomniac Games
According to reliable leaker NateTheHate on Twitter, Marvel’s Venom is still very much in development at Insomniac Games. Following the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in 2023, Insomniac suffered a massive leak of internal data, including a roadmap of the developer’s upcoming projects. Along with Marvel’s Wolverine slated for release in 2026, this roadmap included a Venom spin-off game planned for 2025. With 2025 having come and gone with no official announcement of Marvel’s Venom, many fans naturally assumed the game had been canceled. Thankfully, NateTheHate claims that this is not the case, though did not share when fans can expect to see an official announcement.
