Four years ago, Yacht Club Games announced Mina The Hollower, a retro pixel-art adventure game starring a cute little mouse in a hellish world of monsters. Evoking the style of old Game Boy Legend of Zelda games, Mina quickly grew to become one of the most highly anticipated indie titles in gaming. Today, Yacht Club Games finally confirmed what those fans have longed to hear: After multiple delays, Mina The Hollower has a release date of May 29–a mere 23 days away–and a price tag of $20.
Yacht Club made the announcement on social media, delivering both the release date and price via a post and a small teaser video. “Prepare yourself for one of the greatest top-down adventures ever to be delivered directly to your soul,” the post read, “for less than 20 bucks.”

Mina the Hollower follows the titular Mina as she’s shipwrecked on an island filled with ghosts, goblins, and other monsters. Players will be able to choose between multiple weapons and abilities as they proceed through Mina’s story, all while trying to rescue the cursed island she finds herself on.
Mina is the first new IP developed in-house at Yacht Club Games since the introduction of Shovel Knight in 2014. That game went on to become one of the most popular indie launches of the decade, and in turn spawned multiple spin-offs featuring Shovel Knight and a motley crew of friend knights and enemy knights.
Mina the Hollower will launch, finally, May 29 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Preorders are not yet available as of this writing, but interested players can wishlist the game on Steam.
