A Minecraft player has built an incredible Elytra racecourse that goes from sea to sky. The Minecraft Elytra has long been a helpful tool for getting around any world, but this may be one of the most creative uses for it.
When Minecraft was released, players couldn’t acquire Elytra, making getting around the world take much longer. Elytra was added to the game in the 1.9 update, which also included an overhaul to combat, an End revamp, and End Gateways. Since then, players can get the item by making their way to End cities on the outer islands of the End dimension. Once looted, the Elytra can be equipped to allow players to fly around their worlds using Firework Rockets as propulsion. As this requires beating the Minecraft Ender Dragon, the item is typically a tool used by the most seasoned veterans. One gamer has made a unique Elytra racecourse that makes further use of the traversal mechanic.

Minecraft Player Builds a Walmart in the Game
A Minecraft player builds an incredibly accurate Walmart using the sandbox game’s resources that has a huge parking lot full of vehicles.
Reddit user Inferno845 recently shared a clip of their Elytra racecourse that features rings players must fly through. These rings are spaced out across a narrow area of their world, making the racecourse a unique way to test Minecraft Elytra turning in midair. The video begins with the player flying through a pink ring that’s quickly followed by a green ring between trees. They then fly upward to reach a ring near an ice bridge before entering the side of a mountain to acquire the next green ring. The gamer then climbs a waterfall to enter the next green ring, then weaves through three more. The racecourse then takes the player underwater for three rings before another airborne one. After passing through two more rings, the player reaches the starting point again, ending their run.
How Can Players Replicate This Minecraft Racecourse?
While Inferno845 passed through a set course of rings, players can take a different path to reach the same end. Some fans have suggested making the rings out of Minecraft Redstone with Tripwires so that gamers would have to do things in a set order. The Reddit user has denied this concept because they wish to preserve the green and pink aesthetic of the rings in the racecourse. According to the gamer, they share the server with some friends and intend to mark the order of the rings with Banners. For players to replicate this Elytra racecourse, they will need Cherry wood, Firework Rockets, lots of dyed glass, and clearings to place the rings in.
Although this racecourse was made for players with Elytra, Minecraft Creative allows any player to fly around. This base level of flying combined with the limitless resources in Creative may make a similar racecourse in the game mode more enticing. Inferno845 hasn’t shared their Seed code with the community, making their video the only thing to go by if players wish to recreate the course.
