While playing Minecraft, one player showed off their love for SpongeBob SquarePants by recreating Conch Street. The community often builds impressive structures by using the many blocks and items in Minecraft, and this latest SpongeBob design has caught the attention of fans thanks to its similarity to the cartoon.
It might be hard to believe, but SpongeBob SquarePants first aired in 1999. Over the years, the Nickelodeon cartoon has grown in popularity. As a result of this success, the undersea sponge and his friends have branched out into other media and merchandise. Recently, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants was released in theaters, marking the fourth theatrical appearance for the franchise. In addition, the video game SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide launched at the end of 2025, continuing the legacy of video games featuring the character. Besides starring in his own official games, SpongeBob often appears in other titles thanks to the creative talents of fans.
‘The Nothing Update’ Minecraft Players Blast Incoming Update
Frustrated Minecraft fans are calling the upcoming update underwhelming as Mojang shifts away from its traditional style of yearly expansions.
Minecraft Fan’s SpongeBob SquarePants-Themed Survival Base
One of these fan creations came via ImmediateMention9524 on Reddit, who shared their SpongeBob survival base made in Minecraft. This build featured SpongeBob’s pineapple, Squidward’s Easter Island head, and Patrick’s rock, collectively making up Conch Street. Each of the buildings looked strikingly similar to its cartoon counterpart. For example, SpongeBob’s pineapple had a distinctive green crown and chimney. Meanwhile, the iconic antenna could be seen perched atop Patrick’s abode. Besides replicating the shape of the houses, ImmediateMention9524 used various blocks to expertly shade them. This added a sense of depth to the design, helping them stand out from the background.

Beyond nailing the exterior design of the homes, ImmediateMention9524 gave each of them an interior. Specifically, the player noted that the insides were designed with function in mind. For instance, SpongeBob’s pineapple included a bedroom, a mini-storage area, and a kitchen, among other things. The Reddit community has been impressed with this creation, with the post gaining over a thousand upvotes and many comments. While some users joked about the survival base being built above the water, others wanted to build Conch Street in their worlds. Fortunately, ImmediateMention9524 provided a code in the comment section for those wanting to check it out.
This recreation of SpongeBob’s street is another example of the ingenuity possessed by Minecraft players. In the years since the game came out, players have created all sorts of things in Mojang’s open world. In addition, the creative potential of the game has skyrocketed as even more blocks and items have been added in updates over the years. Thanks to the game’s enduring popularity, the flow of new Minecraft creations is unlikely to stop any time soon.
Minecraft’s First Game Drop of 2026 is Coming Soon
As players continue to build, Mojang remains at work bringing new official content to the game. Notably, Minecraft’s first game drop of 2026 is expected to release in the coming weeks. Known as Tiny Takeover, the next major update will bring many enhanced versions of baby mobs. From adorable farm animals like chickens and cows to hostile mobs such as zombies and husks, the developer is looking to make the game more adorable than ever before.
Unfortunately, the next Minecraft game drop does not appear to include much for building enthusiasts to put to use. In fact, some in the community have labeled this game drop “The Nothing Update,” claiming there is a lack of new and meaningful gameplay features. However, some gamers are glad that the baby mobs are getting some TLC this time around.
Regardless, Minecraft players will continue to build noteworthy creations in the game. It will be interesting to see if any of these other fan designs will put a unique spin on Bikini Bottom and its many iconic locations.
