Minecraft seed hunters may have just found what could likely be the perfect world seed, discovering a world with all biomes within a record-breaking distance and more. Almost 20 years after its release, Minecraft players continue to make amazing discoveries both inside and outside the game.
Seed hunting, also known as “seedfinding,” has been one of the most interesting and longstanding community activities within Minecraft. There really isn’t much to becoming a seed hunter other than digging through as many worlds as possible and then reporting back to the overall community with any interesting or exceptional findings within Minecraft’s 18 quintillion possible seeds. A cursory look at the MinecraftSeeds subreddit reveals incredible finds, big and small, like a cave with 44 diamonds in a single vein or a world with a mushroom island spanning 6 million blocks. However, there is something of a “crown jewel” when it comes to Minecraft seed hunting, and that would be finding a world in which all biomes are the shortest distance from spawn as possible. So far, the record is 1,100 blocks.

Minecraft Seed Hunter Finds Record-Breaking Perfect Seed

In a record-breaking discovery, Reddit user ShoowMe7777777 found a world seed that has every biome within 1,000 blocks of the 0,0 spawn point, breaking the previous record set by Reddit user Jereaux. It reportedly took the Seed Hunter three months and 12.4 trillion seeds to dig through before a stroke of luck landed them on this one. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, this world seed also has every Minecraft structure within 1,000 blocks of spawn and even has a Nether fortress, bastion, and all five Nether biomes within 250 blocks of 0,0 in the Nether. ShoowMe7777777 reports that they are playing on the Java version 1.21.5 of Minecraft, and that the Bedrock version of the seed should have the same biomes in place, but not the structures.

This “perfect” Minecraft seed has rapidly become the talk of the seed-hunting community. Fans on Reddit have already commended the dedicated explorer for breaking the record, also naming it the “treasure seed. ” Meanwhile, on Twitter, the seed has been posted by YouTuber highkeyoli and has accrued over 100k likes in a matter of days. To the greater Minecraft community, a world in which all the biomes are so close to spawn may seem insignificant, but it is truly a staggering accomplishment. Not only is a seed like this exceedingly rare, but it also means that players in this seed will never have to compromise on what biome they can settle down in. All possible resources for a fruitful and long-lasting Minecraft world are within reach; however, that could also take some of the fun out of exploring the farthest and deepest corners of a player’s world. It’s up to the player to decide what works best for them when choosing a good seed.
