Modern Warfare 4 Beta Includes Some Surprise Game Modes

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has just confirmed all of the modes fans will be able to play in the shooter’s upcoming Betas. The two Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta weekends will include most of the multiplayer modes fans would expect to see, along with a handful that almost no one would have predicted.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta Will Include Campaign and Warzone

In a recent social media post, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 announced its full lineup for its two Beta periods. The Modern Warfare 4 Early Access Beta will run from August 21–25, being immediately playable after the Call of Duty NEXT showcase for those who have pre-ordered the game on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

This Early Access Beta will include nine multiplayer modes encompassing franchise usuals like Team Deathmatch and Domination, as well as all-new modes like Kill Block. Six multiplayer maps will also be included, five of which are completely new additions to the Call of Duty franchise. And for the first time in Call of Duty history, Beta players will be able to get a taste of the upcoming entry’s campaign mode, with one mission (‘Entrenched’) being playable in both Beta weekends.

On August 28–September 1, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will then host an Open Beta for anyone who wants to participate on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. This Open Beta will carry forward all of the same content present in the Early Access Beta, except from the ‘Lotus’ multiplayer map, which is being swapped out for the ‘Lithium’ map. Two new multiplayer modes, Hijack and Combat Outpost, will also be added during Modern Warfare 4‘s Open Beta. But the big new addition in this second Beta weekend will be a brand-new Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence map titled ‘Zodiac’.
