More LEGO Pokemon sets are confirmed by new leaks, with three completely new ones that had not been mentioned by previous leaks. Ever since they were announced, official LEGO Pokemon sets have become an online sensation, and they eventually sold out on the day pre-orders opened. This is not unexpected, as both LEGO and Pokemon can generate a lot of hype separately, but combined, they have a lot of potential. After the original four sets released on Pokemon Day 2026, many others have been rumored to come this summer.
Summer 2026 is shaping up to be one of the largest waves of LEGO releases in recent memory, featuring plenty of licensed sets and original ones. Although the release of LEGO’s Smart Brick was not without controversy, especially considering the hefty price increase in sets featuring these special bricks, more and more sets this year will be released with Smart Play features. This includes Pokemon sets, with recent leaks confirming four of them. However, regular sets are also due for release on August 1, according to leaks, and there are at least four new ones.
LEGO’s Best Sets are Still on the Way, And My Wallet Isn’t Ready
LEGO might have kicked off 2026 with a big, but I would argue that some of the most exciting sets are still on the way.

While Mew is hardly an underrepresented Pokemon, Bidoof has been a meme for a long time, to the point that it even got a dedicated animated short. Garchomp is also constantly chosen as one of the most popular Pokemon ever by fans, but until now, there has been no mention of a set dedicated to the land-shark-like critter. This changes now, with the latest round of leaks confirming sets for Mew, Bidoof, and Garchomp — albeit with Smart Play features.
Smart Play LEGO Pokemon sets for 2026 include a variety of critters, with the latest leak on Brick Built Blogs featuring images for the sets dedicated to Cubone and Gengar, Charmander and Geodude, and Jigglypuff. With the rise in production of Smart Bricks and associated Smart Play features, it’s only natural that a handful of Pokemon-based sets use these elements.
It makes sense, too, as each Pokemon has its own unique cry, so these could be integrated into the Smart Play features to make the experience more immersive. What exactly the Mew, Bidoof, and Garchomp sets will entail remains to be seen, but they will most likely become some of the new favorites by fans, judging by their subjects. For now, though, fans can take a look at the LEGO Pokemon Arcanine set for Summer 2026, as its box was also leaked online.
