It seems even more potential Nintendo Switch 2 projects have leaked online, including a second Star Fox game, a new Wario Land game, and Metroid 6. Nintendo has kept quiet about its plans for the Switch 2 beyond Yoshi and the Mysterious Book launching on May 21, but a recent leak has potentially let the cat out of the bag.
Nate the Hate recently spoke about information they’ve received on future Nintendo Switch 2 games. According to their information, the Switch 2 is set for a stacked summer of major new game releases, including a new classic-style Star Fox game, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, and Splatoon Raiders. It was also claimed that a full-blown Ocarina of Time remake is on deck for holiday 2026. The Switch 2 leaks from Nate the Hate were corroborated by other sources, and now separate leaks may shed even more light on games Nintendo has in the pipeline.
Nintendo Switch 1 is Having a Moment in April 2026
Even though most of Nintendo’s focus is on the Switch 2, the original Switch console is getting some big new games in April 2026.
More Switch 2 Games Have Leaked
As pointed out by Reddit user Laughing_Luigi, a YouTube comment made before Nate the Hate’s latest video went live mentioned some of the games that Nate the Hate did, including a classic Star Fox game and the Ocarina of Time remake. The comment, made by user malo932, also mentioned a Super Metroid remake, something related to Nintendo Switch Sports (also mentioned by Nate the Hate), and a new Wario Land game that will potentially drop in 2027. The comment also makes mention of a second Star Fox project that will supposedly be an “adventure” game, which presumably mean it will take its cues from the GameCube classic Star Fox Adventures. Fans should take these claims with a grain of salt, as it could just be a coincidence that some of the claims made by the comment match with Nate the Hate’s, but if the claims are true, Nintendo fans have a lot to look forward to in 2026 and 2027.
The Reddit thread from Laughing_Luigi was updated with additional information. YouTuber Poro Michele claims to have received a DM prior to Nate the Hate’s podcast from an anonymous user that divulged more information on supposed upcoming Switch 2 projects. This DM also mentions that there are two Star Fox games, a Nintendo Switch Sports project, and The Duskbloods releasing near the end of the year. It goes on to include some additional details though, like claiming Mario Kart World‘s DLC has been delayed to 2027, that the Super Metroid remake will use a “pixel art style,” and that MercurySteam is the studio developing Metroid 6. The Ocarina of Time remake was also said to be a brand-new remake and not based on the 3DS remake.
With these claims lining up and all having been made at different times, it makes it a little easier to believe them. However, it’s always best to treat “leaks” with skepticism. It’s entirely possible that all of this is made up, but there is also a possibility that all of these claims are true. Nintendo fans should have a much better idea if these leaks are accurate or not once the probable June 2026 Nintendo Direct airs. At the very least, that event should shed light on the titles that are claimed to be summer 2026 releases, like the classic-style Star Fox game, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, and Splatoon Raiders.
As far as what’s confirmed for Switch 2 in the future, we know that Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave and Splatoon Raiders are in development, but we do not have official release windows from Nintendo. The only upcoming first-party Switch 2 exclusive with an actual release date is the aforementioned Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, set to launch May 21.
