There’s a new meta overpowered build for the Oris 8.6 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, especially for players who love to quickscope. This marksman rifle is one of the few weapons outside traditional snipers with one-hit-kill power in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and this build takes it to another level.
The reception to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4‘s multiplayer has been a mixed bag. While players have largely praised the gameplay, MW4‘s skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) has once again become a major talking point in the community. SBMM has been controversial ever since its introduction in previous Call of Duty games, and it has returned in Modern Warfare 4, much to the frustration of many players. Despite this, players are still on the hunt for the most meta builds for every weapon in the game, hoping to give themselves an edge in their matches.
YouTuber WhosImmortal recently released a video discussing some of the most meta Modern Warfare 4 setups to use with various weapons, including one for the Oris 8.6 marksman rifle. The weapon is a one-hit kill up to approximately 25 meters away, so players have quickly adopted it as an overpowered quickscope machine.
WhosImmortal’s build leans into that “spammy, fast, run-and-gun quickscope style,” comparing it favorably to the Kar98K from Modern Warfare 2019. The Rear Grip, Stock, Laser, and Barrel all add extra ADS speed, making it lightning-fast to aim down sights and quickscope enemies. Meanwhile, the Lightfire-5 Quick Bolt massively boosts Rechambering Speed, so players can recover from each shot and fire the next as fast as possible. Gamers still have to hit their shots, of course, and this meta Oris 8.6 MW4 build won’t help with that. But in terms of getting the perfect build for that particular playstyle, it’s hard to go wrong here.

With Shipment’s recent arrival in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, there’s no better time to use this overpowered Oris 8.6 build and grind out some camos. Shipment’s fast-paced chaos complements this build’s quickscope style, especially for those who want to pull off clips and land tons of back-to-back shots.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is following the same live-service seasonal content model as other recent COD games. Infinity Ward has already revealed a bunch of new maps and more coming to MW4 in Season 1, with more to come through the end of the year and throughout 2027.
