Grand Theft Auto 6‘s Extended Look is coming later today, and now we know exactly how long it will be. Grand Theft Auto 6 is doing something no other game has done before. Rockstar Games has partnered with Netflix to debut the first official Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay presentation on the streaming platform through a special Extended Look.
Until now, specific details on what exactly the Extended Look will entail have been hard to come by. It’s long been assumed that the presentation will focus on Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay, which would make sense as the first two trailers were mainly concerned with showing off cinematics more than anything else. However, one thing that’s been unclear is exactly how long the presentation will be. Thanks to Netflix, that question has now been answered, and Grand Theft Auto 6 fans can plan accordingly.
How Long is the GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix Going to Be?
As confirmed by Netflix, the Grand Theft Auto 6 Extended Look will be 27 minutes long. That’s plenty of time to reveal all kinds of details about the GTA 6 gameplay and what fans can expect from the final product when the highly-anticipated open world game finally hits store shelves on November 19. Beyond the reveal that the GTA 6 Extended Look is 27 minutes, we don’t know what else to expect from it, but it will likely go over some of the gameplay features that were revealed earlier this week in more detail.

It’s been confirmed that GTA 6 will let players freely swap between characters, like GTA 5 before it. It’s also been confirmed that GTA 6 characters will change depending on how players treat them. This means they can gain weight by eating too much and will suffer negative side effects if they don’t sleep. Conversely, they can improve their stats and looks by exercising and completing tasks. This is similar to how things worked in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas back in the day, and it will be interesting to see it in action during the Extended Look, assuming these features are indeed showcased as expected.
Something that fans shouldn’t expect to see during the Extended Look is anything on the GTA 6 online multiplayer mode. Rockstar Games is currently keeping the focus on the GTA 6 single-player experience, and has yet to reveal any details about online. The unprecedented success of GTA Online means that an online mode is coming for GTA 6, but it’s unclear exactly how long after launch it will be added to the game.
In any case, the GTA 6 Extended Look is mere hours away from the time of this writing. Those looking forward to seeing more of GTA 6 beyond the many leaks that have hit the internet lately should set a reminder for 3pm EST, as that’s when the Extended Look will go live on Netflix. It will later debut on Rockstar’s YouTube channel about six hours later. Keep in mind that the Extended Look is likely going to be extremely popular, and so fans should brace themselves for the possibility of technical difficultlies like we’ve seen with past big Netflix events.
