All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has partnered with TNT Sports and developer Immutable X to bring a new free-to-play wrestling game, AEW Figure Fighters, to mobile phones. The latest game from AEW is available now on both Google Play and the App Store in the United States.
Although founded on January 1, 2019, and quickly rising to become the second-largest professional wrestling promotion in the world, AEW didn’t make the jump into the console video game business until June 2023 with the launch of AEW Fight Forever. However, Figure Fighters is actually the fourth mobile game for the wrestling promotion, following the past releases of AEW Casino: Double or Nothing and AEW Elite General Manager in 2020, along with AEW Rise To The Top earlier this year.

AEW Fight Forever Adding WWE Hall of Famer in Season 4
AEW Fight Forever’s roster is adding in a wrestler who won 31 titles and made it to the Hall of Fame during his tenure with WWE.
The most obvious thing setting Figure Fighters apart from other wrestling games is its visuals, with all wrestlers being represented by 3D-animated action figure versions of themselves, not unlike the John Cena and Cody Rhodes action figure models in WWE 2K24. The title is considered a casual mobile game, as wrestling matches will play out automatically after the player sets them up, but players can tap the screen to utilize special moves as they become available on a cooldown timer, in addition to using their finisher once their opponent’s health reaches zero.
AEW Figure Fighters Features 32 Wrestling Stars
At launch, AEW Figure Fighters supports a roster comprising 32 different wrestlers. These include popular figures like Chris Jericho, Swerve Strickland, Darby Allin, Bryan Danielson, Dr. Britt Baker, Jon Moxley, Toni Storm, and Orange Cassidy. Players can unlock new wrestlers in a number of ways through in-game play, although in-app purchases are also available. In addition to playing through matches, players also have the ability to upgrade any wrestler on their roster, provided they’ve collected the necessary resources to do so, which includes improving their in-ring gear as well as boosting the level of their moves and their overall statistics.
The game supports multiple modes of play, including a campaign mode and a one-on-one PvP arena, as well as daily challenges and events, providing multiple ways to earn rewards. And if the game’s AEW console counterpart is any benchmark to go by with Fight Forever adding top stars regularly, then Figure Fighters could see some fresh faces added to the game as time goes by.
