A new Baldur’s Gate 3 update has given fans six hours of new Astarion content to enjoy. Astarion is one of the most complex characters in Baldur’s Gate 3, so anything involving the vampire companion is sure to attract plenty of interest from fans.
Since day one of Baldur’s Gate 3‘s release, Astarion has been one of its most popular companions. His rich backstory, compelling journey over the course of the game, and award-winning performance from Neil Newbon made the vampire a massive hit with fans. He even has a new novel on the way titled Baldur’s Gate 3: Astarion, which explores more of his backstory and is set to release next month. However, back in the game itself, fans have a free download to grab right now that dives even deeper into Astarion’s character.
Baldur’s Gate 3: A Dream of Silence ReVamped Out Now
A Dream of Silence ReVamped is a new Baldur’s Gate 3 custom campaign mod that focuses largely on Astarion, adding six hours of new content that takes place in the vampire companion’s mind. There are four different endings, with six potential new companions to find along the way. It boasts new weapons, more dynamic combat, and challenging boss fights. It’s originally based on A Dream of Silence, a Baldur’s Gate 3 text game by Abigail Corfman. The creator gave their blessing for the mod to be turned into a custom BG3 campaign, and it’s cool to see it come to fruition. Its synopsis can be found below:

The mod was originally released in three individual acts, but has now been made available as a collection. According to the creator, Act 1 is very dialogue heavy, whereas Act 2 then introduces new mechanics, where combat starts to become commonplace. From Act 3, it really starts to ramp up, and the creator recommends frequent saves thanks to the difficulty of the campaign.
It’s incredible what players have been able to achieve with Baldur’s Gate 3 modding. Larian gave the toolkit to the community months after the game’s initial release, and fans have not disappointed. Over on Nexus Mods, there have been over 19,000 mods released for the game, making it the game with the eighth-most mods released on the site. That has been achieved in just three years – it’s newer than all the games above it on that list, so there’s no telling what’s possible in the years to come.
While Larian might be done with Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s clear that the community is just getting started. There will be no shortage of BG3 mods for years to come, but meanwhile, Larian is hard at work on its next game: Divinity. The developer finally unveiled Divinity at The Game Awards 2025, but it has been all quiet on the title in 2026. Expectations for the upcoming CRPG will be enormous, giving Baldur’s Gate 3‘s enormous critical and commercial success.
