Halloween is just a few weeks away, and Rockstar has marked the occasion with a bunch of new GTA Online free downloads for players to get for October 2026. All the new GTA Online freebies and bonuses are themed around spooky season, a limited-time offering for the holiday.
GTA Online was released almost 13 years ago, but remains one of the most played games on the market. Rockstar has supported GTA 5‘s online portion extensively, releasing countless new content updates over the years. Even in 2026, GTA Online continues to bring in an unbelievable amount of money daily, which is a big part of why it remains a focus for Rockstar despite Red Dead Online being much more recent.

In a recent Rockstar Newswire, the developer detailed all the GTA Online events coming throughout October 2026. Naturally, everything is Halloween-themed, with new freebies and rewards given out every seven days. The first new download is for players who win in two Adversary modes between October 8 and 14, which nets them the Pink Skull Emissive Mask and GTA$100,000. There’s one item that’s 100% free to claim for anyone who logs in between the same dates: the Twilight Knife T-Shirt.
Find the odd one out before the timer hits zero.
That’s it for the timed exclusives between now and October 14, but GTA Online has plenty of other Halloween content active all month long. Apprehending Standard and Most Wanted Bail Office Targets earns double GTA$ and RP, while completing all the weekly challenges (like the one active this week) will net players a GTA$2,000,000 bonus. The Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode is back, while all Halloween Survivals are awarding 3x GTA$ and RP in October.

That’s not all – Ghosts Exposed is back, featuring double GTA$, with the Ghosts Exposed Jacket free to anyone who photographs all 10 spirits. The Zombie Town Circuit and other Halloween-themed additions to the Community Race Series are paying triple GTA$ and RP until November 4, as is the Slasher mode. Jack O’Lanterns can be collected across Los Santos for rewards. Rockstar isn’t holding back with this Halloween event, with plenty for players to enjoy over the next few weeks.
With GTA 6 around the corner, many players are naturally curious about Rockstar’s plans for the next iteration of Online. Where the online mode for GTA 5 arrived two weeks after launch, it seems that GTA 6 Online may arrive much later, giving players plenty of time to get familiar with Leonida before jumping in with others.
