Any new World of Warcraft release is bound to draw fan curiosity, so when one arrives with a hefty price tag, it’s all the more interesting. A brand-new World of Warcraft release has been confirmed for 2027, costing $395, which could leave some fans priced out.
Almost 22 years after its original release, World of Warcraft remains the most popular MMORPG in the world. While the Warcraft series may have RTS roots, it’s in the MMO genre where it has truly shone. Blizzard continues to release frequent content for World of Warcraft, with a new expansion every two years since 2008. But there’s another new WoW release coming next year that fans may not expect.
World of Warcraft’s Alexstrasza Returns in New $395 HEX Collectibles Statue
Pre-orders are available right now for HEX Collectibles’ new Alexstrasza 1/6 scale statue on Sideshow. The new statue is based on the Dragon Queen’s appearance in World of Warcraft, featuring detailed sculpting of her gold and crimson armor. Including the hefty display base, the statue stands at 16.1 inches tall, making it a striking addition to any WoW collection. Sideshow’s description for the new HEX Collectibles Alexstrasza statue is as follows:
Bring the Life-Binder to your collection with the Alexstrasza 1/6 Scale Premium Statue from World of Warcraft. Detailed sculpting and rich gold and crimson tones capture the Dragon Queen’s regal presence.
Her commanding expression, signature curved horns, ornate jewelry, and gem-adorned armor faithfully recreate her iconic appearance. Flowing crimson hair and draped fabric lend movement to her poised stance, while her ruby-topped staff completes the majestic silhouette.

Such impressive details come at a high price. Pre-orders for the new World of Warcraft Alexstrasza statue are priced at $395, and aren’t expected to ship until between April and June 2027. This price range is par for the course for high-end collectibles, but fans can at least see that the crazy level of detail on display with Alexstrasza demands the kind of effort that results in this kind of cost.
Orders via Sideshow are limited to six per person.

It’s a very exciting time to be a World of Warcraft fan. Following the successful release of the Midnight expansion earlier this year, Blizzard is taking a nostalgic approach with its next major release. On November 4, the developer is releasing World of Warcraft: Forever, a new version of the game based on the original 2004 release. WoW: Forever will receive new content updates in the future, comparable to a game like Old School RuneScape.
