Gran Turismo 7 is set to receive a new official steering wheel bundle that will retail for $749.99 when pre-orders open in December 2026. Many steering wheel brands make similar controllers for Gran Turismo 7, but this new bundle comes with a bunch of new technologies that could help set it apart from the competition.
The brand behind this new steering wheel is Thrustmaster, which produces officially licensed steering wheels for Gran Turismo games. The company has also recently rejoined the list of official sponsors for the World Series after a break since 2020. Thrustmaster’s latest product, the T-GT 3, is the newest result of the brand’s 16-year partnership with the creators of Gran Turismo to deliver a realistic driving simulation.
Brand-New Gran Turismo 7 Steering Wheel Officially Announced
The T-GT 3 steering wheel by Thrustmaster is described as the start of a “new era” for the Gran Turismo 7 driving experience. The most notable change is that the T-GT 3 will be the first product to use Thrustmaster’s latest Direct Axial Drive technology, which aims to create an immersive and responsive system. Thrustmaster has confirmed that the T-GT 3 will have a recommended retail price of $749.99 USD, and Gran Turismo 7 players can pre-order it starting December 3.

Since Gran Turismo 7 cars have always tried to stay true to their real-life counterparts, the T-GT 3 also focuses on realistic controls. The steering wheel can reach up to 10 Newton-meters, allowing it to respond to events in the game by making the wheel feel stiffer or looser. The new bundle will also include load-cell pedals for the first time. These pedals give players more control over car brakes and acceleration by adjusting the force based on pressure rather than how far players push the pedals.
Other interesting technologies in the T-GT 3 include the haptic effects Gear Jolt and Engine Roar. Gear Jolt lets players feel the gears shift, while Engine Roar, in the manufacturer’s words, makes the chassis resonate with the engine’s RPM. Thrustmaster has also promised to keep the T-GT 3’s software updated. These updates will help keep the steering wheel in line with future Gran Turismo 7 updates.
Developer Polyphony Digital recently concluded the third round of the 2026 Gran Turismo 7 World Series in Singapore. Next year’s World Series will likely see more pro drivers using the new T-GT 3 steering wheel, as manufacturer Thrustmaster has once again become an official event sponsor. Gran Turismo 7 is also preparing for its next major update, Spec IV, which will arrive as a two-part patch, with one part coming in October and the other in December.
The T-GT 3 bundles are expected to ship before Christmas.
