Blizzard confirmed that Diablo 4: Age of Hatred Collection will finally arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15, which will include the base game and both expansion packs in one complete package. The arrival of Diablo 4 on Switch 2 comes over three years after the game was released on other platforms.
The reveal of Diablo 4 on Switch 2 came during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026 in Anaheim. During the keynote, Blizzard revealed what players can expect over the next few years, including new playable characters for Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm. The Diablo series saw its share of announcements, as Blizzard president Johanna Faries confirmed that an animated Diablo TV series will launch on Netflix at an undisclosed date. Further details about the Diablo TV series were not disclosed, so fans must wait for more information.
Diablo 4: Age of Hatred Collection Comes to Switch 2 Soon
With a subtle nod to leaks concerning the eventual arrival of Diablo 4 on Switch 2, Blizzard confirmed that players will not have to wait long to experience it on Nintendo’s current console. Diablo 4: Age of Hatred Collection will go live on Nintendo Switch 2 on Tuesday, September 15, which coincides with the launch of Season 15, Season of Hell’s Legacy. Diablo 4: Age of Hatred Collection will include the base version of Diablo 4, alongside the Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred expansions. Ergo, Switch 2 players will be able to jump right into Sanctuary and play classes such as the Spiritborn and the Paladin right from the start. Diablo 4 on Switch 2 will include HDR and touchscreen support.

However, Diablo 4: Age of Hatred Collection on Switch 2 has a few caveats for players to consider before buying. First, physical copies of Diablo 4: Age of Hatred Collection will be sold as a code-in-a-box rather than as a Game-Key Card. In short, players will not be able to resell or trade the game once the code is redeemed. An active Nintendo Switch Online subscription, along with connecting a free Nintendo account with a Battle.net account, will be required. Diablo 4: Age of Hatred Collection has an MSRP of $69.99.
Although Diablo 4 will launch on a new platform in the coming days, the next game in the series was also revealed by Blizzard. Diablo 5 was first unveiled at BlizzCon, with a spring 2029 release window. In Diablo 5, Sanctuary has fallen to Diablo and his demonic forces, though further details were not shown off about the upcoming entry. Given that Diablo 5 is three years away from release as of this writing, time will tell how Diablo 4‘s future updates will set the tone for its sequel.
