The Invincible universe is continuing to grow beyond its original comic and animated roots, with new updates pointing toward a much larger long-term roadmap for its presence in geekdom. Right now, Invincible fans are waiting for Season 5 of the show, which is slated to release in early 2027, but they’ll get a little treat before then.
Beyond the successful animated series, Invincible is slated to get a new movie release in the near-to-far future, as well as a recently released video game. Invincible VS launched earlier this year and recently released Season 1 on June 30, with a new hotfix update dropped on July 2 to bring in some balance adjustments and backend improvements ahead of future seasonal drops. Invincible VS recently added Universa and The Immortal to its playable roster, and it is currently slated to expand even further in October.

For the first time since Beerus’ introduction in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, a new class of Gods of Destruction will soon be introduced.
Invincible VS Season 2, New DLC Character Release in October 2026
Per the official Invincible VS roadmap, Season 2 will begin in October. A specific date is not yet set, but fans can expect a similar array of live-service game content as in Season 1. This includes additional cosmetics, a new gameplay mode, and a refreshed competitive season, alongside broader quality-of-life updates aimed at improving overall balance and system stability. The biggest question, of course, is which Invincible DLC fighter is joining in October, as no one has been confirmed as of this writing.

Developer QuarterUp and Publisher Skybound Games may not have confirmed who’s coming to the game thanks to seasonal support, but it’s worth noting that a reliable leaker did leak the entire DLC roster for Invincible VS, and after Universa and The Immortal, there were 6 more to be added to the game: The Mauler Twins, Agent Spider, Damien Darkblood, Angstrom Levy, Dinosaurus, and Volcannika. While this should be taken with a grain of salt, it seems The Mauler Twins or Agent Spider are the logical picks because they went in order. They were up next after Universa and The Immortal.
Leaked DLC Roster
- Immortal (Confirmed)
- Universa (Confirmed)
- The Mauler Twins (Leaked)
- Agent Spider (Leaked)
- Damien Darkblood (Leaked)
- Angstrom Levy (Leaked)
- Dinosaurus (Leaked)
- Volcannika (Leaked)
Meanwhile, Invincible VS Season 3 is already planned for December, bringing another new fighter, a new arena, and further cosmetic content as the live-service roadmap continues to build out the universe. This cadence suggests a deliberate effort to expand the game alongside the broader Invincible franchise rather than treating it as a one-off adaptation. After all, that could put Season 4 within spitting distance of the next season of the Invincible Prime series. Fighting game fans are likely to enjoy such a crossover, as well as general fans of Invincible, even if the game’s launch wasn’t exactly “smooth.”
Who’s That Character?

Identify the silhouettes before time runs out.
As GameRant wrote in its Invincible VS review, “If you fall head over heels for Invincible VS’s moment-to-moment gameplay, then you’ll wind up having a sweet spot for the game as a whole,” but “Invincible VS is a content-lean, $50 3v3 fighting game that’s based on a popular franchise but ultimately feels optional for fans of that franchise.” The direction it is heading hopefully makes that optional aspect feel less so.
