Nintendo leaker PixelPar posted a cryptic message on Twitter that simply states: “I wonder what Grezzo has been up to.” On the surface, this doesn’t reveal anything specific, but given the timing of the post ahead of the September 8 Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Direct, many fans are taking this as a hint for what to expect from the showcase. Importantly, Grezzo most recently developed The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and had previously worked on The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake in the same art style. This has fans speculating that a new Zelda game using this same distinct style will be shown during the upcoming Direct.
