Nintendo Switch 2 gamers have at least eight big games to look forward to in March 2026, including a pair of exclusives. Nintendo has aggressively supported the Switch 2 since its launch last June, solidifying it as the fastest-selling video game console of all time. Nintendo knows that if it wants to keep the home console/handheld hybrid’s momentum going strong, it will need to make sure that there is a steady stream of new games released for the platform.
At least one major new Switch 2 first-party game has been released nearly every month since the console’s launch, with exclusive titles like Donkey Kong Bananza, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Kirby Air Riders, and Mario Tennis Fever releasing alongside major cross-gen Nintendo exclusives like Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. March 2026 will see the release of two more Switch 2 exclusives alongside a variety of major multiplatform releases.

Pokemon Pokopia is the headlining new Switch 2 game for March 2026, as it’s the only full-blown, pure exclusive hitting the platform next month. There’s a great deal of hype behind Pokemon Pokopia, as the game looks like a clever blend of Pokemon and something like Stardew Valley with its cozy, life-sim vibes. Aesthetically, Pokopia also seems to have taken some inspiration from Minecraft. The game itself is about players taking on the role of a Ditto who copies the abilities of various Pokemon to complete tasks. It’s all adding up to make for a very interesting release, and it will be exciting to see how Pokemon Pokopia compares to its inspirations come March 5.

The other Switch 2 exclusive release is the Switch 2 version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. While technically a Switch 1 game at its core, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is debuting on Switch 2 with exclusive content come March 26. Specifics on everything Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park will entail remain hard to come by, but we do know that the game will feature new playable characters and multiplayer content that is exclusive to the Switch 2 release.
As far as multiplatform games go, Switch 2 owners will definitely want to keep an eye on Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, as it is a remake of one of the most-celebrated survival-horror games of all time. If they’re WWE fans, they may also want to check out WWE 2K26, as it’s the first time a WWE 2K game has been released day-and-date on a Nintendo console in years. Those titles, combined with the other new Switch 2 games in March, add up to what should be an exciting month for the console.
