Capcom has revealed that the six most recent games in the Resident Evil series will soon be available for purchase on Nintendo Switch 2. The Resident Evil franchise has a long history on Nintendo systems, but Switch owners largely missed out on the series. Capcom made some of its older games available on Nintendo’s previous platform, but this mostly resulted in ports like Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil Revelations. Meanwhile, newer games ended up on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The Resident Evil Series Comes to Switch 2 en Masse
The start of the Switch 2 era has seen Capcom once again prioritizing Nintendo for its Resident Evil games. During the Capcom Spotlight on September 16, the publisher highlighted the fact that six of the most recent games in the series are now or will soon be available on Nintendo Switch 2. Resident Evil Requiem came to Switch 2 on launch day, alongside Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition. After starting 2026 on a high note, the lineup will grow on October 16, with the releases of Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition. These versions include all the previously released DLC.
