PlayStation 5 gamers are in for an especially busy day, as eight titles are set to launch for the platform on Thursday, October 15. This fall is proving to be out of control when it comes to new PS5 games. Gamers on the platform have been treated to a virtually nonstop barrage of new releases, ranging from big-budget AAA titles to smaller, critically-acclaimed indie darlings.
September saw two PS5 console exclusive games hit the market in the form of Marvel’s Wolverine and Silent Hill: Townfall, while October has already seen a wide variety of new games release. From Hellraiser: Revival to Kingdom Hearts Collection [1 ~ 3] to Order of the Sinking Star to Silver Pines, there’s already been a bunch of new games released for PS5 in October, with more soon to hit the market.
New PS5 Games Releasing on October 15
- Bluey’s Happy Snaps
- Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse
- Enshrouded
- Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea
- The Jackbox Party Pack 12
- Ratatan
- Toy Story: Retro Roundup
- Toy Story 3: Complete Edition
Eight games are set to release for PS5 on the same day, October 15, making it an especially big day for the platform. On that day, PS5 gamers can look forward to checking out Bluey’s Happy Snaps, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, Enshrouded, Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea, The Jackbox Party Pack 12, Ratatan, Toy Story: Retro Roundup, and Toy Story 3: Complete Edition. The new PS5 games coming soon represent a wide variety of genres and should ensure there’s something for just about anyone.
Out of all the new games releasing for PS5 on October 15, some stand out more than others. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is arguably the headliner, marking the long-awaited comeback of Konami’s classic franchise. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse has looked like an incredibly promising return to form for 2D Castlevania, and it will be exciting to see how it turns out once its release date rolls around on October 15.
Enshrouded is another game that will likely drum up a great deal of interest among PS5 gamers. Enshrouded is a survival game that was released in early access on PC a couple of years ago. Enshrouded‘s early access release has been well-received by fans of the survival genre, and so it’s big 1.0 release on October 15 is highly anticipated.
As far as the other new games releasing for PS5 on October 15 go, I am personally excited for The Jackbox Party Pack 12. Jackbox Party Pack 12 is the latest installment in the annual party game series and sees the debut of five brand-new games. The Toy Story games are also of interest, as they will see delisted titles restored with new bells and whistles. Between these titles and the other new PS5 games releasing on October 15, gamers will have no shortage of new titles to play that day.
More big PS5 games are releasing later in October. We Were Here Tomorrow is coming on October 20, while Final Fantasy Resonance is on deck for October 22. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be releasing on October 23, and Phantom Blade Zero is coming on October 29, alongside The Wolf Among Us Remastered.
