This coming Thursday, October 22 is going to be an especially busy day for the Nintendo Switch 2, with 11 games set to release on the platform. The Nintendo Switch 2 is Nintendo’s latest home console/handheld hybrid, and it got off to an incredible start. The Switch 2 wasted no time becoming Nintendo’s fastest-selling console, and that is largely thanks to the high-quality software that is available for the device.
Mario Kart World was a launch title for the Switch 2, and the critically-acclaimed, GOTY-nominated Donkey Kong Bananza was released just a little over a month later. New Switch 2 releases have come at a steady clip since then, and there are some days that have an unusually large number of new releases. One of those days is right around the corner, with a whopping 11 games set to launch for the Switch 2 on October 22.

On October 22, Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch, Cotton Reboot, Cotton Reboot High Tension, Cult of the Lamb, Final Fantasy Resonance, Hitman: Absolution – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, HoloVillage: Our Cozy Days, My Friendly Neighborhood, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, and Peak are all releasing for the Nintendo Switch 2. The list admittedly includes some ports, like Hitman: Absolution making its Switch 2 debut and Cult of the Lamb coming to the platform with its Woolhaven DLC in tow, but it’s still an impressive lineup of titles.
Out of all the games coming to Switch 2 on October 22, a few stand out in particular. Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch is a Switch 2 exclusive co-op horror game that uses GameShare. One player explores a spooky house, and the second player watches from security cameras to assist their partner. It’s a unique premise and it being a Switch 2 exclusive should help it draw more attention than it potentially would have otherwise.
Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch isn’t the only Switch 2 exclusive releasing on October 22. That very same day, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is releasing for the platform. The latest in a series dating back to Wii Sports, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort features 12 sports, local and online multiplayer, and plenty more to make it an exciting release for owners of the platform.
Switch 2 gamers will also want to keep an eye on Final Fantasy Resonance. A new turn-based entry in the long-running franchise, Final Fantasy Resonance is bringing back Cloud Strife and various other fan-favorite characters as a “Vision” summon in the game. And finally there’s Peak, the wildly popular co-op game that made a big name for itself on PC and is now finally coming to consoles. Needless to say, there is a great deal of variety when it comes to the new games releasing for Switch 2 on October 22, and it will be exciting to see how they all turn out.
