Blizzard just revealed the Devourer Genji skin for Overwatch and the Crimson War Bear mount for Heroes of the Storm, both of which can be earned by playing World of Warcraft: Midnight. These cross-promotional cosmetics can be obtained by completing the World of Warcraft: Midnight intro scenario once it becomes available.
World of Warcraft: Midnight is almost here, with early access kicking off on February 26, and the full expansion arriving on March 2. To celebrate the major release, World of Warcraft is holding two Twitch campaigns: Alliance and Horde-themed Murloc plushie decor items as a Twitch Drop, and the Fishmonger May pet as a Support a Streamer reward.

New Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm Cosmetics for Playing WoW: Midnight
However, there are also a few items players can get for other games by playing Midnight. Blizzard just revealed two new cross-promotional cosmetic items associated with the upcoming WoW expansion: the Devourer Genji skin for Overwatch, and the Crimson War Bear mount for Heroes of the Storm. Both of these items can be obtained as free bonuses for fans who get the “Echoes of Midnight” achievement in World of Warcraft, earned by completing the Midnight introductory scenario and questline.

Devourer Genji is a recolored version of Illidan Genji, an exclusive Overwatch skin that transforms the cyborg ninja into World of Warcraft’s iconic Demon Hunter, Illidan Stormrage. This new cosmetic turns Genji into a Devourer, the new Void-themed Demon Hunter specialization available in World of Warcraft: Midnight. The classic Illidan Genji skin hasn’t been available since it first appeared as a reward for attending BlizzCon 2019, and Devourer Genji is the first instance of a recolor in all of that time.
The Crimson War Bear is a recolored Heroes of the Storm take on the iconic Amani War Bear, one of the rarest mounts in World of Warcraft. Unlike Devourer Genji, the Crimson War Bear is not a new mount in Heroes of the Storm, but buying this Epic skin directly costs 400 Shards, so getting it for free is still a boon.

These are not the only cross-promotional items players can get from Midnight. As of Patch 11.2.7 on December 2, 2025, fans who own Midnight and complete the Housing intro scenario earn the “Welcome Home” achievement in WoW and obtain some exclusive items for several Blizzard games.
Most notably, this includes the Xal’atath Symmetra skin for Overwatch, along with a matching Spray and Name Card, and a Dark Heart Player Icon. This skin, which transforms the hero into the main antagonist of WoW: Midnight, is a recolor of Tyrande Symmetra, another BlizzCon 2019 exclusive. It is the second recolor of this skin alongside Sin’dorei Symmetra, which occasionally appears in the shop for 1,900 Overwatch Coins or in Loot Boxes.
Gamers can also get the Hearth & Home Card Back for Hearthstone, Horde- and Alliance-themed console skins for StarCraft 2, and the Sin’dorei Portal for Diablo Immortal.
It is unclear exactly how long these World of Warcraft cross-promotional rewards will be available. That said, seeing as they are included as rewards for evergreen achievements, there’s a good chance they will stick around for a long time, if not indefinitely. Either way, Devourer Genji and the Crimson War Bear should become available to gamers as soon as they can play World of Warcraft: Midnight, on February 26 for those with the Epic Edition, and March 2 for everyone else.
