Hotfix 0.179.1 for Palia has just dropped, delivering a number of fixes for issues that have been causing game crashes and freezes. This follows the recent release of a patch for the MMO that introduced new content, features, and quality-of-life improvements.
Palia is an Unreal Engine-powered community simulation game set in an original high fantasy world that is being developed and published by Singularity 6, a studio based in Los Angeles. The game, which is still in open beta, received a Switch version in December, and it was added to Steam not long after in late March. Since becoming available on Valve’s game distribution platform, Palia has received quite a few updates, with the latest one addressing several problems.
Palia: How To Make Money (Gold)
New Palia players may struggle to find the best ways to make money. Here’s how to make it easy.
The 0.179.1 Hotfix for Palia went live on April 29, fixing issues that sometimes caused crashes for players who tried to fish, craft, or visit the Temple of the Waves in Phoenix Falls. This update also fixed issues that resulted in freezes when attempting to re-gift villagers. Providing gifts to villagers in Palia is an important aspect of the game’s friendship and romance system, as it increases their bond levels with a player.
Singularity 6’s latest update dropped just a few days after the release of Patch 0.179 for Palia. Aside from delivering improvements and adjustments to the game, the previous update, which went live on April 23, added a lot of new content to the game. It introduced Courtyard building, several new flower types, Cyl the Green Plush, the Ammo Pouch item, more than 50 achievements for Palia‘s Steam version, and three new outfit bundles in the Premium Store.
Patch 0.179 also added Level 5 Quests for the NPCs Zeki, Ashura, Tish, and Reth. The latter three are considered to be some of the best villagers to befriend in Palia due to the rewards they give out. Ashura, the local innkeeper, provides new tools and construction upgrades. Becoming Tish’s friend, meanwhile, unlocks new furniture items and decorations. As for Reth, raising his bond levels will reward players with food recipes and cooking appliances.
Among the types of additional content players have been asking for are new areas and new creatures in Palia. Currently, there are only two major areas in the game, Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay. Meanwhile, the game’s world is inhabited by just nine types of creatures, with the latest addition, the wolf-life Mujin, being introduced last November in Palia‘s 0.173 Build.
