Palworld has released a brand-new update that is available for fans to download right away, bringing numerous bug fixes for the monster-catching survival game. The newest patch is the second since Palworld dropped its massive 1.0 update in early July.
The long-awaited full release of Palworld added a plethora of content for fans to enjoy. Pocketpair debuted 72 new Pals with Palworld‘s Version 1.0 update, ranging from early-game Pals like Clovee and Pupperai to powerful late-game Pals like Aegidron and Renjishi. Palworld also finally allowed players to visit The World Tree for the first time in Version 1.0, after the central location has loomed in the background since the beginning of the game’s early access period. Pocketpair has also shown they have no signs of slowing down after Version 1.0, now launching Palworld‘s second post-1.0 patch.
Palworld Launches Version 1.0.2 Update
Palworld fans can hop onto the game and download the brand-new 1.0.2 update right now, shipping multiple fixes with the patch. Pocketpair addressed multiple problematic crashes as one of the main changes in the patch, including players being disconnected while battling Panthalus and crashes when inputting Japanese text in full-screen mode. Palworld also fixed several visual bugs in Version 1.0.2, such as terrain not displaying correctly in The World Tree and the screen remaining faded out if specific dialogue is interrupted. The game even introduced some small quality-of-life adjustments, adding the ability to re-bind keys for “Attack that enemy!” and the Inventory menu, alongside improving performance in Palworld‘s new Sunreach area.
Fit the 9 games into the grid.
The multitude of Palworld fixes focus heavily on the new content added with the game’s full launch. Sunreach was first introduced in Version 1.0 as the home of the Azure Covenant faction and one of the last areas players visit before heading to The World Tree. One of the achievement fixes in the update addresses a batch of achievements added in 1.0, rewarding players for collecting the new Effigies of several different Pals. A smaller update also aimed to help returning players who had not played for a long time, addressing a bug with control settings from versions older than the 0.7 update.
Palworld has given fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the future of the game beyond the Version 1.0 update. Palworld publishing head John Buckley touched on the future of the game in March 2026, suggesting that the game won’t continue to be updated forever, but could go at least until a hypothetical Version 2.0. Pocketpair has also made major gains in its ongoing legal battle with Nintendo over alleged patent infringement, seeing Nintendo significantly reduce its demands in June 2026.
Pocketpair is primed to expand Palworld far beyond the original game, aiming to turn it into a full-blown franchise. The Palworld Official Card Game is gearing up for its official debut on July 30, launching both the Dawn of Palpagos booster set and a batch of Trial Decks based on the popular game. Pocketpair also revealed the first video game spin-off of Palworld in September 2025, teasing Palworld: Palfarm as a cross between Palworld and games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. Pocketpair’s ambitious plans for Palworld could expand the massively popular game into a thriving multimedia juggernaut.
