PC users with a GOG account have a chance to claim and keep the critically acclaimed point-and-click puzzle game called Silence until July 10. This is the second free-to-keep PC game offered by GOG since the start of July, thanks to the storefront’s ongoing summer sale.
The other game that GOG gave away for free was Nexus – The Jupiter Incident. It is a spaceship management and combat simulation game that many consider to be one of the best real-time tactics sci-fi games of all time. Unfortunately, the promotion for Nexus – The Jupiter Incident has now ended. However, the good news is that GOG has already replaced the offer with another interesting free-to-keep title.

Silence Is Free-to-Keep on GOG Right Now
Silence is developed by Daedalic Entertainment, and it won awards for Best Graphics, Best Story, and Best Sound at the 2016 German Game Developer Award. In terms of gameplay, Silence is a point-and-click puzzler with an in-depth, cinematic narrative. On Steam, where it has been available since launch, Silence has 82% overall positive reviews, which could be seen as a testament from fans of the genre that it is a quality game. GOG has currently applied a 100% discount to this indie title, but fans will need to act fast because the offer ends on July 10 at 06:00 AM PDT.

Despite being nearly ten years old, Silence both looks and plays great, putting it among the point-and-click games that still hold up to modern-day standards.
Fans of classic puzzle games might also be interested to know that Silence takes place in the same universe as The Whispered World, another acclaimed game from the developer. So, it is basically a sequel to that game. Luckily, both Silence and its predecessor, The Whispered World, are also discounted by 90% on Steam, allowing PC users who cannot participate in the free-to-keep promotion on GOG to grab them at a very affordable price. It is important to remember, though, that Steam’s discount will only be available until July 9.
Between GOG, Steam, and The Epic Games Store, PC users have several other freebies to claim as well. The current EGS promotion is offering I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream and River City Girls 2. On the Steam side, fans are currently waiting for more official free-to-keep promotions, but there are at least two games that will be delisted soon, and those who claim them in advance will get to keep them afterward. One is called The Lonely Helmet, and the other is Glitched Out.
