Developed by Moebial Studios and published by Hitcents, Aquamarine: Explorer’s Edition is a distinctive genre hybrid that blends old-school adventure game design with roguelite meta progression mechanics and a survival-focused gameplay loop, all presented in the form of a turn-based comic book. As of late December 2025, it holds “Positive” reviews on Valve’s storefront, though the sample size is limited to just over a dozen user ratings. The Steam version is also discounted by 80% during the same period it is free on Itch.io, offering an alternative way to support the developer for those who end up enjoying this neon-soaked top-down shooter.
Itch.io offers DRM-free downloads in addition to its regular storefront functionality, namely the add-to-library feature.
