PC users have only a few hours, as of this writing, to claim the 2020 survival horror game Remothered: Broken Porcelain for free. It serves as a prequel to Remothered: Tormented Fathers, although each explores different stories and can be played in any order, and this free game giveaway seems to be in celebration of the third game announcement for the franchise, Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy. As such, it’s a good time for horror fans on PC to get into the game.
Not to mention, Remothered: Broken Porcelain is not the only free game in the franchise right now. PC users who are quick enough can not only claim Remothered: Broken Porcelain for free on GOG, but also the sequel Remothered: Tormented Fathers on Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion as well. Details on Tormented Fathers are available at the link.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain is a free game giveaway on GOG, expiring at 10:50 AM PT/12:50 pm CT/1:50 ET on June 8, so users should be sure to claim it fast. To do so, they simply need to navigate to the giveaway page above, claim the game, and follow on-screen instructions. It’s worth mentioning that Broken Porcelain is 100% DRM-free via this method. For those unfamiliar with the franchise, Remothered: Broken Porcelain is a third-person survival horror game that follows Jennifer, a young woman trapped within the unsettling Ashmann Inn. It adopts many of Tormented Fathers‘ key features, like relentless pursuits (similar to Resident Evil’s Mr. X).

Most of the experience can be summarized as a survival horror game heavily inspired by Resident Evil. Players can expect stealth, puzzles, the search for key items, and various enemies throughout, with the addition of a focus on psychological horror via Jennifer, residents of the Inn, and the wider Remothered series. The game expands on the lore established in Remothered: Tormented Fathers, serving as both a sequel and a companion piece that sheds new light on returning characters and events.
While the game earned praise for its atmosphere, soundtrack, and ambitious story, it also became known for technical issues at launch that overshadowed some of its strengths, but most of these issues are much better now. Ergo, it’s worth checking them both out while they are free games on PC.

While it’s uncertain why Remothered: Broken Porcelain is available via GOG and Remothered: Tormented Fathers is available via Steam, instead of having both games go free on one platform, it’s a smart tactic to celebrate the recent announcement of the Red Nun’s Legacy. In it, Susan travels to Sicily to find her daughter, who she hopes is still alive, one whole year after she disappeared. The new game in the franchise also introduces new gameplay on perception and hypnosis.
