Although Persona 6 does not have an official release date, Atlus’ upcoming JRPG has received a content rating from a major country well in advance of the game’s launch. The rating was released shortly after Persona 6 was finally unveiled to the public following weeks of rumors and leaks about the project.

Persona 6 Granted a Mature Rating By Australia’s Ratings Board

While rumors about Persona 6‘s release window have indicated a potential launch in 2027, the game already has its first official rating. The Australian Classification Board gave Persona 6 an unrestricted rating of “M” for mature audiences. Although the listing has since been taken offline as of this writing, the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit stated that Persona 6 was rated by the ACB for coarse language, violence, and nudity. It is worth noting that the ACB’s Mature rating is not the same as the one used by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) in North America. Rather, an unrestricted ACB rating of M would be roughly equivalent to an ESRB rating of T for Teen. However, since the ACB listing was rendered inaccessible, it is currently unclear if Persona 6‘s M rating will be changed in any way.
