Pokemon GO Player Catches Incredible Amount of Shiny Pokemon During GO Fest 2024
A Pokemon GO player manages to catch an impressive number of shiny Pokemon during the in-person GO Fest 2024 event in Sendai, Japan.
In a new post on the Pokemon GO subreddit, user BrinkyB highlights a weird Pokemon GO bug that many players didn’t even hear of before. Apparently, the player’s research and medal progress got reset all of a sudden. While initially they were flabbergasted by the incident, they highlight that eventually, they came to the conclusion that it possibly occurred due to them booting up an old account of theirs from all the way back in 2016. After logging out of the old account and getting back into their own account, it seems like the previous account’s progress got merged with the new one somehow, causing it to reset.
Pokemon GO Fans Are Eager To Know How Player Triggered Rare Bug
While many players express they had not seen something like this before, another player seems to have had a similar experience. However, in their case, things went back to normal after a simple restart. That, however, doesn’t seem to be the case for BrinkyB as they state they can potentially get the rewards twice now, which is an extremely lucky bug to have. In fact, BrinkyB’s 2016 account seems to have strangely reflected the Pokemon GO level from their current account after they logged in, while the current account has everything the same, apart from the progress of the medals and research.
Fans already wish that they encountered the same bug, as it would allow them to get Pokemon such as Zygarde. In fact, many players urged them to delete the post entirely, since it might lead to the bug getting fixed and the rewards getting potentially canceled.
