Pokemon GO is giving away free rewards for players to close out October 2026, gifting players with free Rare Candies and a festive Pikachu for its Halloween event. The Pokemon GO gifts will close out a busy month of October for the mobile game.
The Twilight Trails season has brought a plethora of new content to the massively popular monster-catching mobile game. The season kicked off with a pair of brand-new Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet making their Pokemon GO debut, introducing both Maschiff and Mabosstiff to the game. Scopely Explore has added multiple Pokemon to the game throughout the Fall-themed season, including Bramblin, the seven different Core forms of Minior, and Mega Staraptor. Now, Pokemon GO fans are getting some free rewards as the mobile game kicks off its annual Halloween event.
Pokemon GO is Giving Players Free Halloween Rewards
-
Free Timed Research missions, available until November 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time
- 6 Rare Candies
- Special Encounter with Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet
Scopely Explore has officially revealed brand-new rewards being given to all players during Pokemon GO‘s Halloween festivities. Following the launch of the event, players will receive a set of Timed Research that automatically grants the rewards, without any player action required. Pokemon GO fans can claim six free Rare Candies within the game and a special encounter with a Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, with Scopely Explore even confirming that the special Pikachu has a chance to be Shiny. Players must claim these rewards before the Halloween Part 1 event ends, with the event scheduled to conclude on November 1 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
The Halloween Part 1 event will bring plenty more to the mobile game beyond Pokemon GO‘s new rewards. The game will be introducing more special costumed Pokemon as part of the event, including Zubat wearing a top hat and Sinistea wearing a bow. Several past Halloween Pokemon will also appear during the Halloween Part 1 event, confirming that players will be able to encounter Piplup and Drifblim wearing Halloween Mischief costumes and Duskull at increased rates. Pokemon GO will also feature special music to accompany the Halloween event, with a remixed version of the classic Lavender Town music playing at night.
Pokemon GO‘s Halloween festivities extend far beyond the main event, with more planned for the Halloween weekend. The game will host a Super Mega Raid Day on Halloween, debuting Mega Chandelure with a special event to commemorate the spooky season. The Halloween Part 2 event, which is scheduled to kick off on November 1, will introduce another brand-new variant to the game with the addition of the Shiny versions of Greavard and Houndstone, which previously debuted during 2023’s Halloween event.
Pokemon GO has a wealth of content in store for fans in November to round out its 2026 Fall season. Scopely Explore has already confirmed the spotlight Pokemon for the November 2026 Community Day event, with Pawniard Community Day set to run on November 21. Pokemon GO has confirmed the rewards for purchasing and completing the November GO Pass as well, including 400 PokeCoins, a Lucky Egg, and a special encounter with fan-favorite Gen 3 Legendary Pokemon Groudon. Pokemon GO fans should be excited about the end-of-year lineup for the mobile game, with lots planned to close out October and usher in November.
