Pokemon Legends Z-A Teases Mega Dimension DLC Reveal

Pokemon Legends: Z-A fans will get another look at the upcoming Mega Dimension DLC on November 6. While the base game has been out for less than a month, The Pokemon Company has already confirmed that a paid expansion would come out shortly after release. Anyone who’s already completed the main content for Pokemon Legends: Z-A may not have to wait long for more, now that Game Freak has an announcement in store.

The Pokemon Company revealed Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Mega Dimension DLC on September 12, more than a month before the game even came out. In that initial unveiling, fans got a look at two new Mega evolutions for Raichu, and given the DLC’s name and the base game’s focus on Megas, more new Mega evolutions are sure to follow. While leaks have abounded since then, official information has been scarce, but that won’t be true for much longer.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC Gets a New Announcement on November 6

The Pokemon Company’s Japanese Twitter account announced that the studio will reveal more details on Legends: Z-A‘s upcoming DLC on November 6, 2025. That news will likely take the form of a new trailer, as the post says to check out The Pokemon Company’s official YouTube channel to stay tuned, and it will drop at 11 PM JST, or 9 AM EST. It’s unclear what exactly the trailer will go over, but considering the DLC doesn’t have a release date yet, it’d make sense for it to reveal the launch day. Fans already know that Legends: Z-A‘s DLC will release in two parts, so it’s possible Game Freak could announce the first date but not the second, but it’s difficult to say anything for certain until the news actually breaks.

The imminent announcement could also show off some new Megas or other Pokemon not in the base game. Leaks have suggested that Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s DLC will feature 138 returning Pokemon and over a dozen new Mega evolutions, so there seems to be a good deal of content The Pokemon Company could put on display in the trailer. Additional story details are not off the table, either.

With or without the DLC, the latest in the Pokemon franchise has been a marked success. Despite some criticism from fans, Pokemon Legends: Z-A sold 5.8 million copies in its first week alone, enough to outperform Pokemon X and Y and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. Additional content could help push those numbers higher, especially if the upcoming news has enough to show off to fans.
