Pokemon Pokopia Player Builds Fully-Automated Resource Farm

A Pokemon Pokopia player has constructed an incredible fully automated resource farm within the game, using multiple Pokemon to gather a variety of resources without player input. The Pokemon spinoff developed by Omega Force has been a smash hit with fans of the beloved monster-catching franchise since its release on March 5. Pokemon Pokopia sold more than 2 million units worldwide within four days of its launch, and the game has seen favorable comparisons to other life simulation games like Animal Crossing and Minecraft. Pokopia has also served to inspire some of the franchise’s most creative fans.

The freedom of Pokemon Pokopia‘s building system lends itself to some outstanding creations from fans of the game. Players can arrange their in-game villages in any way they want, giving them the freedom to create a variety of different houses and habitats for their Pokemon companions. Some have even used the tools provided by the game to craft stunning homages to the franchise’s past, including one fan who created Pokemon Gold and Silver‘s Bell Tower in their Pokopia village. Now, one fan has built a fully automated resource farm in their Pokemon Pokopia game.

Pokemon Pokopia Player Shows Off Their Automated Resource Gathering Farm

Japanese Twitter user nanapercent788 shared their intricately crafted resource farm in Pokemon Pokopia. The video attached to the post shows off a fully automated system using the game’s water physics and multiple villager Pokemon to farm and push resources. Multiple Pokemon then pick up the resources dropped off by the water and transport the in-game items to a pair of nearby Community Boxes, where a Coalossal and Machop then process the items. The entire system requires no player input once created, with the user also giving step-by-step instructions for players to create their own automated Pokopia farms.

The stunning Pokopia creation offers significant benefits for players looking to farm specific items within the game. The creator notes that players will need to set up a security camera and step away from the system, needing the camera to focus specifically on the Pokemon at the end of the line. Players looking to engage in bigger building projects in Pokemon Pokopia could make effective use of the system as a way to easily farm a large amount of resources, without needing to seek out the resources in their world. Many fans in the comments jokingly compared the setup to a sweatshop, with some even comparing the player to the mysterious Team R mentioned in the game.

Pokemon Pokopia‘s monumental success has already seen both fans and the game’s developer looking ahead toward its future. Omega Force has already revealed several issues and bugs it plans to address in a future update to Pokemon Pokopia, alongside some quality-of-life improvements. Fans have even discovered some subtle references in Pokemon Pokopia that may hint at potential future DLC for the game, particularly citing an in-game note that mentions the Sevii Islands and the “rare Pokemon” found in the archipelago.

A potential Sevii Islands DLC follows The Pokemon Company bringing back the games that feature the island archipelago region. Game Freak and The Pokemon Company officially brought Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen to the Nintendo Switch alongside the 30th anniversary Pokemon Day livestream, marking the first time the games have been re-released outside the Game Boy Advance. The Switch releases came with some nice perks as well, both adding previously event-exclusive Pokemon and planning Pokemon Home connectivity to come later. Pokemon fans have plenty to celebrate for the franchise’s 30th anniversary, with a pair of popular re-releases and a smash-hit spinoff.
