Omega Force has released the Version 1.1.1 update for Pokemon Pokopia, which includes a pair of minor bug fixes to the popular life simulation game. The update follows a multitude of major announcements for Pokopia during the recent June Nintendo Direct.

The life simulation game based on the beloved monster-catching franchise has been one of the Switch 2’s biggest hits of 2026. The Pokemon spin-off was an immediate success following its release on March 5, quickly selling 2.2 million units within just four days of its launch. Pokopia has seen high praise from both fans and critics for the freedom allowed by its gameplay, with players meeting a wide variety of iconic Pokemon and having the ability to completely reshape and redesign their in-game villages. Now, another small patch is available for Pokopia.

Pokemon Pokopia DLC Teases New Details

Pokemon Pokopia gets more content later this year, and some new information has been teased ahead of an official announcement.

Pokemon Pokopia Launches Version 1.1.1 Patch

Pokemon Pokopia has officially rolled out its 1.1.1 update, though fans should not expect any major new content. The update includes just two bug fixes, with one addressing issues when exceeding the limit of placed items and the other fixing Ditto’s facial expressing not changing when using emotes in Pokopia‘s photo mode. Only one previous update to the game included fewer changes than the 1.1.1 patch, with the pre-launch 1.0.1 update only mentioning one change in the official patch notes. The patch’s release also precedes the launch of the newest Pokopia event, centered on Mythical Pokemon Jirachi.

As part of a slew of new announcements for Pokopia, Omega Force recently revealed the life simulation game’s next event. The game will officially kick off the Wish Upon a Jirachi event on June 23, bringing the Gen 3 Mythical Pokemon to villages with a fully-built Pokemon Center. Players can receive the wish notes recipe from Jirachi, which they can use to fulfill requests from other Pokemon and earn the special Sparkling Wish Notes currency. Much like past events, Wish Upon a Jirachi will reward players with exclusive furniture and decorations in exchange for Sparkling Wish Notes.

Wish Upon a Jirachi is far from the only new content being added to Pokopia in the coming months. Omega Force officially revealed the Pokopia Expansion Pass during the June Nintendo Direct, hinting at several villages coming to the game. The developer teased the aquatic Bubbly Basin village as the highlight of the first part of the expansion pass, which will be joined by a free update adding the Dive move. Pokopia‘s expansion pass will be released in three parts, with Part 3 in 2027 confirmed to be introducing another village to Pokemon Pokopia. Omega Force and The Pokemon Company even teased a new Mythical Pokemon coming to Pokopia, hinting at Manaphy’s appearance in the game.

Pokopia‘s stacked lineup of future content should help the game maintain its early momentum well into the future. Pokopia has already become one of the best-selling games on the Nintendo Switch 2 early in the console’s life, outselling Kirby Air Riders, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and even competing with Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Pokopia even broke a major record within the Pokemon franchise following its debut, surpassing Pokemon Y to become the highest-rated Pokemon game of all-time. Pokopia‘s wealth of upcoming DLC content should give fans even more reason to stick with one of 2026’s biggest success stories.
