Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are apparently getting a pair of Squishmallows inspired by Fire-type starter Fuecoco and Electric-type amphibian Bellibolt in the near future. The popular Squishmallow line of plush toys was first started in 2017, and has generated over 1,000 round, cuddly characters over the years. This includes several Squishmallows inspired by Pokemon characters, with these stuffed animals practically selling out almost immediately after hitting store shelves.
Squishmallow’s hit Pokemon collaboration was first announced back in 2022, with the first wave of Pikachu and Gengar toys being released online that following November. Since then, several fan-favorite Pokemon have been released in Squishmallow form, ranging from classic Generation 1 mainstays like Snorlax to more contemporary critters like Pokemon Diamond and Pearl’s Water starter Piplup. The most recent Pokemon Squishmallows were Marill and Dragonite, and they were made available for pre-order last month.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Reveal Seven-Star Tera Raid for June 2024
To start the month of June, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will host a new Seven-Star Tera Raid battle for seasoned trainers to challenge.
Now it looks like two popular creatures from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be joining them soon, as pointed out by the PokemonDealsTCG Twitter account earlier this week. They shared what looks to be a promotional image of these two new Squishmallows from behind, and they seem to be based on Fuecoco and Bellibolt. These two Generation 9 Pokemon are only visible from behind, and the image only promises that more information about them will be unveiled “soon.”
Pokemon’s Next Squishmallows Seem To Be Fuecoco and Bellibolt
Players got to meet Fuecoco at the very start of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as the crocodile-like Fire type serves as one of the game’s traditional starter Pokemon options alongside the Grass-type Sprigatito and Water-type Quaxly. Meanwhile, Bellibolt is a frog-like Electric type players can capture in several different locations in Paldea region. It evolves from Tadbulb after being exposed to a Thunder Stone, and it is currently the only Pokemon with the Electromorphosis ability – which charges its next Electric-type move after it takes damage.
It isn’t clear when these next two Pokemon Squishmallows will be revealed in full, but insiders are promising to share more information as it surfaces. When these Fuecoco and Bellibolt Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Squishmallows finally do hit store shelves, gamers with the storage space for them after the countless other releases will probably have to hustle to get their hands on one of them given how quickly resellers tend to snatch them up. Meanwhile, Pokemon fans can look forward to the 2024 Pokemon World Championships in August, as well as the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
