The newest promo box from Pokemon TCG looks to match perfectly with the game’s final set of 2026. Mega Rayquaza ex has already become a mainstay of the competitive game in Japan, typically being included in Mega Kangaskhan ex decks. The promo version of Mega Rayquaza ex also boasts artwork that is not available in the main set of Delta Reign, only featuring the Double Rare and Special Illustration Rare versions. While The Pokemon Company did not mention which packs are available in the collection, the Rayquaza box will likely include booster packs from other sets released throughout 2026, alongside Delta Reign.
With Delta Reign’s launch on the horizon, the Pokemon TCG still has another big release coming for its 30th Celebration set. November 6 will mark the official release of the Pokemon TCG‘s Day & Night Ultra-Premium Collection, featuring special artwork of Espeon and Umbreon. Each Ultra-Premium Collection also includes a unique Pikachu promo card, printed in the colorful Futuristic Rare treatment first released with the 30th Celebration. The card game also debuted the new Deck Crafter’s Collection boxes on October 22, containing a range of staple cards for players to get into the game’s competitive scene.
Pokemon will look to follow up a successful 2026 with another big year for the trading card game. The Pokemon Company has already revealed the first new expansion releasing in 2027, with Mega Lucario Z ex headlining the Flowing Fists set. The Pokemon TCG also confirmed a brand-new type of card is being added to the game in a future set, officially teasing the introduction of ex Star cards during the 2026 PokemonXP convention. Between Z Mega Evolutions and ex Star cards, the Pokemon TCG should have something to excite both collectors and players in 2027.
