Pokemon Winds and Waves Fan Makes a Ghost Version of Legendary Titans

Pokemon Winds and Waves Fan Makes a Ghost Version of Legendary Titans

A creative fan known for their original Pokemon designs has come up with some incredible fan art for Pokemon Winds and Waves. Confirmed to be a Switch 2 exclusive coming in 2027, Pokemon Winds and Waves will hopefully be the most impressive entry in the series yet.

The Legendary Titans, a group of legendary ancient creatures, were first introduced to Pokemon Trainers in the 2003 Game Boy Advance title Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. The original three that were found in the Hoenn region were Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. Respectively, the trio were rock, ice, and steel type Pokemon. 2007’s Pokemon Diamond and Pearl saw the inclusion of their creator, Regigas, a normal-type. And Sword and Shield would allow players to discover Regieleki and Regidrago, electric-type and dragon-type additions to the family.

Pokemon Winds and Waves Are the Gold and Silver to Scarlet and Violet’s Red and Blue

How Pokemon Winds and Waves iterate on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is identical to the way Pokemon Gold and Silver did it to Pokemon Red and Blue.

Fan Art Creates Ghost-Type Legendary Titan in Pokemon Winds and Waves

CardnlH, a 3D artist that posts his work on Twitter, came up with the idea and design for Regighoul. This original take on a potential ghost-type Legendary Titan was met with praise from other users. CardnlH does an excellent job incorporating the signature glowing dot eye style of the other Legendary Titan members. The Pokemon sports Haunter-esque coloring and the ghost-type’s floating style, and it also features metal electrode bolts that appear to be inspired by the classic Frankenstein design. If something similar was actually created by Game Freak, many would probably agree that it could be ranked among the most powerful Ancient Pokemon the series has to offer.

With the Pokemon series’ slow roll out of new Regi designs, it does seem like the franchise is due for a new introduction of one or two. The first three arrived in Generation 3. The next, Regigigas, debuted in Generation 4. It wasn’t until Generation 8 that the games saw the inclusion of two more Legendary Titans. This isn’t the only unique design that CardnlH has been able to come up with for Pokemon Winds and Waves. He drew up a regional Sentret form that appears to be a dark-type. He’s designed and published his thoughts on how the Browt evolutionary line could be conceived, as well as several other pieces of Pokemon concept art that can be found on the user’s Twitter feed.

The rerelease of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen reignited the conversation about what’s Pokemon‘s best Eeveelution. These Eevee evolutions are some of the game’s most iconic pocket monsters. Over the course of Generations 1, 2, 4, and 6, the series has seen eight unique additions to the family. The Legendary Titan family could follow the same page with a couple more inclusions, presenting another family of Pokemon that are similar in members but with more powerful and daunting designs.
