Pokemon Worlds came and went without a single piece of news about Pokemon Winds and Waves, silently reaffirming leaks that there will be nothing concrete about the Gen 10 games until 2027, but the same leakers are also now pointing toward a real release window. Of course, it’s worth taking all of this with a grain of salt, as neither Game Freak, Nintendo, nor the Pokemon Company have confirmed anything more about Pokemon Winds and Waves than what was shown at Pokemon Day 2026.
Indeed, if Pokemon Winds and Waves are not getting any concrete news until 2027, then it seems safe to presume that it won’t be until Pokemon Day 2027. The second trailer, as is usually the case, will probably reveal the box art legendary Pokemon for Pokemon Winds and Waves, but until their marketing cycle picks up, fans can only keep listening to the grapevine.

According to three known Pokemon leakers, Pokemon Winds and Waves will release in November 2027. Ball Guy (a known leaker who pops in and out, with a spotty track record) posted that the games would release in November 2027, which was reposted by Centro Leaks (a known aggregate account with a solid understanding of reliable info/leaks), and Kurwa (a new leaker who recent leaked Pokemon Winds and Waves‘ Pokedex count and has received back from other leaks) then reposted the information. Whether or not it holds up remains to be seen, and arguably, it’s a pretty easy guess.

Pokemon has already broken away from its typical development and release cycle, with Pokemon Winds and Waves releasing much later than normal compared to prior gens. As such, it could conceivably release at any time in 2027, but if Game Freak wants to maintain some tradition while focusing on releasing a high-quality game, then November makes sense. Pretty much all mainline, gen-setting Pokemon games release in November, so this could be a genuine leak, this could be a guess, and/or fans may or may not know this for sure until 2027.
Even if the plan is November 2027 right now, it’s worth noting that this does not mean the date is guaranteed. Anything can happen between now and then, so the final date could change or be delayed. Hopefully not, but at the very least, fans know that Game Freak is releasing Pokemon Winds and Waves in 2027—even if the exact date or month is not yet known. Fans should therefore treat November 2027 as a reported target rather than a confirmed launch window.

It is likely to be a long time before fans hear anything about the Gen 10 games, with Pokemon Day 2027 likely being the next major marketing stop. After all, Pokemon Worlds ended with nothing on Pokemon Winds and Waves, and that’s a tone-setter if there ever was one. Not even a small tease came out of the event, and that would have been enough for many fans. As such, late 2027 does seem like a solid guess if nothing else.
