Upcoming Capcom game Pragmata has received a new trailer that reveals some story beats and confirms that the game will feature PS5 Pro support. While a lot of Capcom fans are paying attention to the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem right now, Pragmata looks like it will have a lot to offer sci-fi shooter fans, especially those who own a PS5 Pro.
For the unfamiliar, Pragmata is a long-awaited third-person action game that follows Hugh and Diana as they attempt to escape a moon base research station. Hugh is the main character, who comes equipped with weapons and a jetpack that he can use to quickly maneuver and avoid enemy attacks, while Diana perches on his back and uses her capabilities as an android to hack AI enemies, called Bots, disabling or weakening them. Much about the game’s story has remained a mystery, but this new reveal has hinted at a bit more of what players can expect.
Pragmata PS5 Pro Support Confirmed
In the February PlayStation State of Play, a new trailer was revealed for Pragmata, which was followed by confirmation that the game will feature PS5 Pro support. The presentation didn’t specify whether any particular features will be exclusive to the PS5 Pro, but players can likely expect a better frame rate, visuals, or both. Players of the recently-released Pragmata demo had speculated that the full game would feature improvements on the PS5 Pro, as some noticed the demo looked better on the PS5 Pro than the standard PS5. Analyses of the demo show that the PS5 Pro does a better job of maintaining 60FPS than the PS5 does in Quality Mode. The new trailer was also captured utilizing the PS5 Pro, so players can get an idea of what the visuals will be like.

In the trailer, a few more teases about the situation at hand and what Hugh and Diana are doing have been revealed. Hugh reveals that he became an orphan in childhood, but had someone protecting him, and he wants to do the same for Diana. As Hugh and Diana explore the moon base and a Luna Filament-built city that strongly resembles New York City, Diana notes that she hasn’t seen anyone else aside from Hugh, perhaps indicating that there are no other survivors. Curiously, Diana doesn’t seem to recognize a globe of the Earth, likely indicating how limited her knowledge of the outside world is.
Lastly, the trailer gives players a glimpse of some of the foes that Hugh and Diana will have to face. The “Intelligent Direction Unification System,” or IDUS, states that the New York City-like area is restricted, and when “removal time” exceeds estimates — presumably referring to Hugh and/or Diana — it deploys reinforcements. These reinforcements are large, scrambling robotic humanoids that are quickly produced from Luna Filament. As Hugh attempts to run from them, one begins chasing on all fours, and its human-like face splits open before producing some kind of energy weapon that appears to charge like a laser.
Pragmata has been a long time coming, having originally been announced way back in 2020. After multiple delays, it seems that its troubles are behind it, as Pragmata is approaching its final release date of April 24, 2026, and players can check out the Pragmata demo now. The game will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 simultaneously. Those who pre-order in advance will receive a Neo Bushido and Neo Kunoichi outfit set for Hugh and Diana, which are based upon Samurai and Ninja aesthetics respectively. The Deluxe Edition comes with a number of bonuses, including additional skins for the characters and Hugh’s weapons, emotes for Diana, and artwork for the game. This new trailer also acknowledges that in-game purchases will be available, but it doesn’t go into detail as to what those will be.
