President Trump Is Now Posting Animal Crossing AI-Slop

President Trump Is Now Posting Animal Crossing AI-Slop

The White House and President Donald Trump want everyone to know that they really love farmers. They care about farmers. Sure, his trade war with China during his last term hammered farmers immensely, and his now-deemed-illegal tariffs and economic polices this time around are doing a lot of damage to farmers, too. But don’t worry about that! Instead, look at this AI-generated Animal Crossing slop.

On March 27, the official White House account on Twitter posted an AI-generated short video depicting a digital President Trump declaring “Make Farming Great Again!” before running out of his office and into a very Animal Crossing-like setting, complete with cozy animal villagers. The video ends with a logo that is clearly a modified Animal Crossing logo with the message “National Agriculture Week – Thank You, Farmers!” slapped on it.

A minute later, the official White House account shared an image of Donald Trump’s Animal Crossing-like avatar hanging out with actual Animal Crossing characters. This image appears to be a modified version of this official promo art, but now it includes Trump and that ugly modified logo from the video, this time with a new message added: “Make Farming Great Again!”  It seems the image was modified using both AI and Photoshop to combine and tweak elements, like a farm in the background.

These posts follow Trump gathering hundreds of farmers at the White House on Friday to celebrate the $12 billion in support his administration is providing. He failed to mention that the reason many farmers are struggling is because of his idiotic trade wars and tariffs.

Trump’s history of using video games in propaganda posts

This is not the first time President Trump and his goons have used video games for online propaganda and marketing. We’ve seen Trump’s team use Halo and Pokémon music and imagery before to try to rally support for ICE’s horrific assaults and deportations of immigrants, even alluding to these people being parasites like the Flood found in the Halo franchise. Earlier this month, the White House posted a video featuring a Call of Duty kill streak animation to celebrate its deadly and costly war with Iran. That post was later deleted.

On March 5, the Pokémon Company officially responded after Trump used a Pokopia meme to push his “Make America Great Again” slogan.

“We are aware of recent social content that includes imagery associated with our brand,” a Pokémon Company spokeswoman told The New York Times. “We were not involved in its creation or distribution, and no permission was granted for the use of our intellectual property. Our mission is to bring the world together, and that mission is not affiliated with any political viewpoint or agenda.” The company shared a similar message in September 2024 about a DHS video featuring the Pokémon theme song.

In an October 2025 interview with Game File, Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto called the post “absolutely abhorrent” and added, “It really makes me sick seeing Halo co-opted like this.”
